Will be moving to The Villages soon -- are there handymen/painters who would refinish/and paint a tea table white from a mahogany finish?

You might check with the Villages Woodworkers Club. They sometimes do this sort of thing. They would probably like a donation for their work. They do marvelous work.

I bet you could do it yourself. You sand the surface, wipe and sand again so it will hold paint. Paint it white or off white, two coats at least with a GOOD...meaning not cheap brush. Use acrylic paint. Than apply acrylic clear finish, at least two coats, preferably three, allowing for complete drying between coats. (At least 24 hours)

If other ideas don't pan out try calling Deborah Fitzgerald - 813-960-1315.

She sets up and sells hand painted furnature (country style I think) at Spanish Square and maybe Lake Sumter Landing too. When we talked to her I think she stated that the person who does the furnature can also do refinishing, but I'm not sure. Worth calling and asking if you find the need to go that route!

Douglas ... if you are still looking for some one to paint your Tea Table I can handle that for you. I owned / operated a furniture refinishing business in Jacksonville Bch for 15 years, before recently moving to TV to be closer to my Mother.

Please contact me through email if you wish to discuss further.
