OK liberals.. are you going to call President Obama stupid because he does not know is daughter's own age. Not once but TWICE he incorrectly told the nation during his news conference that his daughter is 13. You could even tell he was guessing by the way he hesitated before saying it.
If this was Palin or Bachmann you would be howling how stupid they are.
Where the heck are you now?

You are hippocrites if you do not give him the same treatment you gave Palin and Bachmann. You wont.
You do not care if he makes mistakes, even when he claims there are 58 states, and thinks corpsmen are corpse men because you favor his social welfare policies.

Media and libs need to stop that bologna and start talking about the issues.

I really enjoy Richie's jab which is meant only to get under the skin of some posters on this forum. Good try - but no cigar!

I wonder how many men have mis-stated their children's age at one time or another or how many men have forgetten their wife's birthday or wedding anniversary. When I am asked on a form at a doctor office or someplace to put down my wife's birthday, sometimes it is a blank for a few seconds.

JimJoe says media and liberals should stop talking about bologna and start talking about the issues. Yet it is JIm Joe that brings up some inane thing about the President forgetting a child's age. That is the issue?

Anyhow, mis-stating a child's age does not have anything to do with leadership - and I am getting along pretty well with President Obama's leadership of the country. Not 100% in agreement, of course, but probably 75%.

Tbugs, Its not that he missposke on his daughter's age. We all have lapses. It's the fact that if it had been a Republican it would have been all over the media. It would have gone on forever. The double standard is unbelievable.

SallyJo's statement of " Its not that he missposke on his daughter's age. We all have lapses. It's the fact that if it had been a Republican it would have been all over the media. It would have gone on forever. The double standard is unbelievable." is just plain ridiculous.

The wing-nuts just think the newspapers and television stations (with the exception of Fox Noise) are out to get them. The newspapers and television stations (again, except for Fox Noise) did not think this was a big deal and dropped it quickly. It is not a big deal - NO MATTER WHO SAID IT.

A mis-spoken word, a slip of the tongue, or whatever you call a gaffe is not a huge issue.

You have just proven my point. You cannot discuss an issue without name calling.. "wing-nuts".
Grow up.

Obviously, JimJoe is under the thought that a slip of the tongue is an issue. It is not an issue! As I said, NO MATTER WHO HAS A SLIP OF THE TONGUE, IT IS NOT AN ISSUE - except for Fox Noise. Ooo, I called them a bad name. Shame on me.

Jim, it is you that needs to grow up. Stop wasting my time with inane replies. 'Nuff said.

It's not a huge issue unless done by a Republican.

Tbug I am going to use a word liberal often used and I personally dislike but I find it appropriate here. Your above-mentioned post is "disingenious"

However, in my heart I know you are being mis-led and I know by whom
It is "Bill Maher". Please please stop watching this guy he will only clog up your brain with hate-filled lies:(

I thought the gaffe was 57 states. May 9, 2008 Beaverton ,Oregon
Get the facts right.
I didn't watch the press conference.I just heard a few sound bytes. Was he one year off on the birthday? One is July 4, 1998 and the other June 10,2001. Holy crap. She will be 13 on Monday. 6 days off.

Quick now... within 4 seconds when is your anniversary?

Both sides need to stick to issues. Like Michelle Obama's arms. Or birth certificates.

Richie, from you I consider that question a compliment. Thank you - and I will be sure to return the compliment in person over a Yeungling.

To the wing-nuts out there (SallyJo, JimJoe, and anyone else who want to associate themselves with this element), get a life. If you are so paranoid about what the news stations (except for your Bible, Fox Noise) and the newspapers report - watch out for the black helicopters. They might carry you to Area 51 and keep you in suspended animation. It is all one big conspiracy and they are out to get CONSERVATIVES.

If Obama has some gaffes, big deal. Bush had plenty, Clinton had plenty, and yes, even your immortal hero, Reagan did plenty. What does it hurt?

Raise the debt ceiling. Compromise with Democrats. Do not be the Party of NO any longer. Americans see the G'Nopers as obstacles and will remember it at election time.

Only meant with affection Bugs. But the constant sniping at the ladies is what's bringing this on, you know. Why doesn't anyone ask a democrat about the founding fathers or some obscure history question. You know I'm right. I would bet almost anything that Palin and Bachmann would wipe the floor with Obama in a high school American History exam. Of course, we'll never have that answer, but I know.

Technically, there are only 46 states. Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky are officially Commonwealths that have been admitted to the Union. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth that has NOT been admitted.

I would really love to see all the Congress, the Supreme Court, the President, Vice President, and all the Republican contenders take a "surprise" high school US history test - and to have all the individual results published along with the questions.

(surprise test=no advance notice for studying purposes)

I am sure the results would be amazing.

Wow, djplong...you're smarter than all of them!
