I have been at turns angry, in turns disgusted and in turns truly compassionate for and with the Anthonys. But what hell can describe what they face with each breath they draw?
I don't think that any of us who are parents won't remember the first time our perfect angelic child told a lie or completely defied our direction. Normal children and normal parents face this and it is the most frustrating situation to know that you KNOW what is best for your child and you KNOW what your values are and yet inexplicably your child early on will completely throw you for a loop. Whether it be the candy you find in their pocket at the age of three that they "don't know" where it came from, or the time they first stay out beyond curfew. It just breaks our hearts and it terrifies us too to know that we cannot direct or completely control another human being who we adore and for whom we have great hopes and complete love and were given complete responsibilty to raise right.
Imagine what the Anthonys are suffering. I can't imagine how anyone would ever, ever come to terms with this.
I believe that Casey Marie Anthony was born a sociopath and that her parents tried so hard to keep her straight and to protect her. Maybe too hard. I think that Casey will still continue to act like the sociopath she is and feel no guilt and that sooner or later the law will catch up to her on something; stealing, cheating, lying, embezzling. I pray she does not give birth again.
As my grandmother often said. " There are things we must bear on this earth that are far worse than death". The Anthonys are bearing just such things from now on. No one deserves that pain. I feel so bad for them.

Well, the law finally caught up with OJ in the Vegas sports memorabillia case. I take some solice in that...but that still leaves Nicole and that young man dead. I will never understand how a mother whose child is missing does not run to the police immediately for help. Sociopaths generally do everything for their own benefit..I am surprised she did not do the immediate teary pleas to the public ( HEY...I could be on TV!!!) UNLESS she really is guilty. We will probably never know.

We all view situations differently. Can the Anthonys live as a family once again? We know Lee anthony can't. We know Cindy Anthony can and will. How will this affect her relationship with George? Depends on if you believe George Anthony's story or was there some playing out here by all to get Casey home???? Desperate people do desperate things.
How will Casey be recieved in the community? A victim, a pirhana?
The jurors will tell their story. It is only a manner of minutes because surely they will be paid well and each will want advantage and a bigger paycheck and the jurors story has elastic demand.
I predicted a quick verdict and explained to my wife that it would be one of the extremes. After listening to closing arguments I predicted 1st degree murder. Like 90% of the country I am dumbfounded.
Casey will be in the limelight for some time now so she will no doubt capitalize on her infamous reputation. who said crime doesn't pay.:(

And on top of everything George and Cindy have had to face, they are receiving death threats according to the news tonight. What is wrong with our society that a child dies with no one responsible and their grandparents are faced with a living hell? Where can they go and how are they supposed to support themselves? Will Cindy want her daughter back after what she did to George, and if so, what does that say about Cindy? Such a God-awful mess!!
I wish we could go back to the days of "shunning" where a member of society was ignored by all and no one spoke to them or of them.

Shunning is exactly what the narcissistic Casey Anthony deserves, but it's the constant TV coverage of this like a SuperBowl game that has given her celebrity status and all the attention she craves. She won't care whether it's villain attention or saintly attention...it's attention and that's all that matters to her.
The sicker thing about all this is that the book and movie deals were probably drawn up weeks ago, and by one year from now, she will probably be hosting a talk show on one of the 24-hour "news" networks.
Sicker yet is that people will buy the books, movie tickets, and advertisers' products.

I completely agree with ilovetv -- the worst punishment for Casey (at least in this life) is for the public and media to completely shun her. The more we lust for every sordid detail of her life, the happier she will be. I personally will not be buying any books, or watching any TV or movies that she will profit from.

My prediction is that she won't live long enough to collect her millions from the books, movies, etc. There are plenty of armed nuts out there who won't be happy until they see justice for Caylee. I will be surprised if she is still alive a year from now.

Casey may have serious faults, but from the get-go I never believed she killed her child. From the beginning of this fiasco I felt that George was the cover-up culprit of a devastating accident where dear sweet Caylee drowned in the pool.
Have you ever seen pictures of George and Caylee together? Think not. It's very obvious that he was not a devoted grandfather just as he wasn't a devoted husband. Cindy lied to save her child Casey; George lied to save the disgrace of his very own dastardly actions.

We weren't on the jury but we can at least be in charge of our pockets and see that we don't contribute a penny to Casey's book or movie if she tries to benefit from the death of her beautiful daughter--- I am sickened by Casey's smiling face---will not watch any show on TV that she appears on.

so what! Anything that is so OUT THERE will get a book deal. And...guess what? You'll read it. And...you'll look at programs that will feature anyone involved with the case. Look at the other crap that we buy and read. Right?
This is about our justice system. This is about FL law. No concrete evidence? That's what it's all about. Yeah, I thought she was guilty, but that's NOT how the system works.

She drowned--o.k.--accident---you help dispose of body--o.k.--- still unanswered----why duct tape on the face? Please someone explain that to me--- Maybe you can?

Mentally scared, suicide prone George Anthony has by now gotten his gun back from the police. I can see a George/Casey murder suicide coming up.

Casey allegedly failed to pay the IRS $68,520 in taxes in 2008 according to a tax lien filed against Anthony in Florida in May 2011, says a TMZ report.

Your question poses.....why the ducktape? which leads to why dispose of the body in that fashion? To make it look like a kidnapper? Then dump the body in the Anthony neighborhood. Why? Why? Why?
Bottom line .....we will never know why anything and/or why the coverup and that is WHY Casey was acquitted of murder!!

Don't you have to have income in order to owe taxes? How could she possibly owe that much? How could she owe anything? She apparently hadn't worked in years, if ever??

The way the story goes her income was the money the state paid for her defense, hundreds of thousands.

My memory let me down the money was from a TV network……
It seems that Casey might be taking a page from former Survivor champion Richard Hatch’s playbook. A television network – in this case, ABC – had a deal with Anthony to pay $200,000 in exchange for family videos and photos. As we know from the Hatch case, this makes it taxable to the recipient. If the money was paid directly to Casey (or on her behalf), she would be responsible for reporting the money to the IRS and paying any related taxes due.
The deal was allegedly crafted with ABC by Anthony’s attorney with the understanding that the money was going to be used for defense costs. That would be a great deal for her defense attorney but unfortunately for Casey, attorney’s fees for personal reasons (and that would include criminal defense work for a homicide case) are not deductible on your federal income tax return.
Assuming a 33% tax rate for a single taxpayer in 2008, that $200,000 ABC payment would likely result in a tax bill approximating that $68,520.41 lien. That’s a little bit of educated speculation on my part and I can’t say for certain that the payment resulted in the lien though the evidence tends to suggest that it did. What is clear is that with Anthony’s freedom – and future – in limbo until after the trial, it’s likely that the IRS may never collect.

I wish I could agree with you as I always do. I truly think she has no concience, no guilt, no feelings for anyone but herself. She appears to me to have that narcissistic, sociopathic personality disorder that the only feelings she can have are for herself.
As for the rest, God knows.

My husband thought that "perhaps" someone put it on to avoid having the bugs and such crawl in to the open mouth. Obviously, they did anyway, as it decayed. Bugs, snakes, rodents, etc. A horrific thought. I think it was a "staged" kidnapping / murder AFTER AN ACCIDENT IN THE SWIMMING POOL.....OR PERHAPS THE CHILD WAS FORGOTTEN IN THE CAR AND ROASTED TO DEATH IN THE HEAT. Someone was afraid of someone in that family. So afraid that they covered up the accident (in a dumb way for sure) and blocked it out for 31 days. George had a history of violent outbursts in Ohio. I am not sure, but don't think he had a long career in law enforcement, thus an amatuerish job IF HE WAS THE ONE WHO COVERED UP .

Wasn't the tax money owed for the money that one of the networks pd. $200,000+ for pictures. Whatever happened to the theft case from stealing from her friend (I know her mom is not going to press charges for the money stolen from her & grandpa)?
I can already see a reality show in the works "Casey's Beautiful Life". We will never know what happened to poor Caylee. A lot of people will profit from her death, there will be books from everyone involved in the case. It's sad, but that's life. Although most of us feel that justice wasn't served, Casey is the one who must live with the lies & the truth...although she is so warped she probably thinks since the jury said not guilty, that she truly is not guilty. Someday she will have to answer to the Big Judge for all of her crimes.

The picture that always bring tears to my eyes is when she was singing to her great grandfather in the nursing home. Some toddlers are afraid of very old people, but Caylee definitely loved her great grandpa. It was very touching. She was a beautiful soul and just perhaps her time on earth was meant to be short.
Does anyone know (from the local newspapers) how Cindy's dad is doing?
Is he still among the living? I know the great grandma is alive in Mount Dora, correct? Does George have any parents?

As for the rest, God knows.
She will ultimately be judged by God and for the rest of her life will have to watch her back (at least from the crazies in Orlando who hate her).
She will also be haunted for eternity by the ghost of her child.
Casey did display a narcissistic personality but I think it was more complicated than that.........being raised the way she was....in a family of secrets.......including her pregnancy. They all wanted the illusion of the perfect family, when in reality it was quite dysfunctional.
Her elaborate stories were her way of "having a life"........my kids are long grown and independent, but I think I'd "catch on" if I was hearing such farfetched stories. Cindy was either patient and long suffering or clueless....or perhaps, herself, living in lala land.
I don't think the brother is totally "unknowing" either. That scene at the memorial service where he's speaking "C.M.A." I love you, blah blah blah....it could have been his sister, his neice, his mother? Everything was coded.
It's almost like they were speaking in parables or a secret language.
I also do not have trouble imagining that there might have been incest in that family. My husband does not think so........but I think it is a possibility and if that was indeed the case...........she "shut off her feelings" and blocked out everything to avoid the pain .....she learned that coping skill in childhood at a very early age.............have they all been given lie detector tests?

Yes, I saw several smiling pictures of George with Caylee and comments about him putting in her playhouse and landscaping it. There was no evidence that he did not adore that little girl. And would a former cop want to help anyone to cover up an accident? Why? I can only guess that you watched little of the trial......maybe as much as that jury.

Watch Nancy Grace on HLN (Channel 25 Comcast), there are numerous pictures and videos of Caylee and her Grandfather. Neighbors interviewed stated that he was a loving grandfather who was always taking her out for walks in the neighborhood..
