Google .... www.thevillagescomputerclub.com ...On the opening page,,,click on Tech Help on top of page. You will get a list of people who will be able to help you. Or follow link to the INFO on How To... and maybe pin down the solution with self help.

Click on "start'..all programs..accessories..system tools..defrag and then cleanup.

If that does not do it...and you have a copy of XP or what ever OS you use
go to "Geeks . com and order a bigger Hard drive.

Copy all your files to a set of disks or a flash drive.
and reinstall on you new HD

The drive cost about 60 bucks and is not hard to install...you can goggle the steps.
It sounds a whole lot harder than it is.

I should be there in a couple of weeks, I will be happy to take a look.

I cleaned out everything that I do not need, but it still can not back up . help what can I doI suspect that your hard drive is filled with the junk files that all computers accumulate over time. There are several excellent (and free) programs that you can run once a week or two to clean out all that crap. I recommend CleanUp! or CCleaner.

If you are a typical user and do not have your browser set to delete ALL browsing history when you exit, you are likely accumlating 200 to 300 junk files EVERY DAY. Each time you install a new program, there are likely several dozen temp files that stay around. Many programs create temp files while they run.

I recently helped a friend who was having a similar problem. His disk was 95% full yet he did not have much useful content on his hard drive. We ran both CleanUp! and CCleaner and deleted 135,000 junk files. When we were done, his drive was 90% EMPTY

There's an easy way to clear those temp internet files that clog up your computer, no other program is needed for this.

Go to Internet Explorer, click Internet Options...depending on the version of Explorer you have...

You may see a "delete temporary files" button. You may need to click "Advanced", then "delete temporary files"

From within that prompt, clear your history, cookies and temp files.

Hope this helps. Drop me a note if you want me to walk you through!
Good Luck

UNC,
As well as Internet Options -> Delete Temp File, I also use "Disk Cleanup". Click on your window "Start" go to Help/Support -> Performance & Maintenance -> Freeing Up Disk Space -> Disk Cleanup. Or just type in Disk Cleanup in your search box under Help. Disk Cleanup will help out greatly.
