For those that are "over" a baby being dead who should now be on her way to first grade, how about signing the petition for Caylee's Law. It would make it illegal for a parent not to report a child missing - shame that we even have to consider a law like that but it appears we do now.

The best way to deal with this whole thing is to NOT purchase any books, go to any movies, watch any interviews, etc....anything that would put money into Casey's wallet. Boycott Casey!

Well said. She had the opportunity to tell what happened to Caylee for free & chose not to. I doubt anything she says now (for money) will shed any light on this sad situation.

That is all a bunch of political posturing for a politician to get in the headlines. Even they are taking advantage of the medial circus.

AMEN to this comment!!! I did NOT get involved with the trial as alot of people did. The 're-caps' with the news casts and the internet gave enough info as it was, to figure out what was going on. The trial is over!! The verdict is in and despite all that it's not for us to stress over. Casey Anthony may think she's free, but in reality she will be "dogged" for the rest of her life.

Actually, Caylees Law was created on change.org by a 30-year old woman named Michelle Crowder in Durant, Oklahoma who has nothing to do with politics. She was just a woman who was outraged enough to take action, and I applaud her for that. And since you have obviously never heard of her, I guess we can discount the theory that she did it to get in on the "media circus". Are you saying you don't support a law making it illegal for a parent not to report a child missing? And even if a politician introduced this, which they didn't, what difference does that make? If this were in effect now, Casey could have gotten 15 years for her 31 days.

I also support, or should I say non-support, anything to do with Casey making one cent off what she has done. This is one way we get to be the jury and see that she doesn't get la bella vita.

My feelings exactly---and my plan as well. Hope Barnes and Noble makes a conscious decision NOT to sell her book if she writes one. I can't ever imagine any book store having a book signing by her!!!!

There actually already was a book about Casey Anthony which I happen to have. The copyright is 2009. The author is Diane Fanning.

"Mommy's Little Girl"...Casey Anthony and Her Daughter Caylee's Tragic Fate.

I'm a fan of Ann Rule's true crime books and while checking out her latest, this one was an "impulse buy" back in 2009.

Her acknowledgements in the beginning of the book go to :
Rick Cuza, Jesse Grund, Richard Grund and Jackie Mattlin.
Also....Carlos Padilla and Fox 35's Shannon Butler, Dan Philips, and many others..........

My question is how can anyone get a fair trial when the media "talking heads" as they were called......authors such as Diane Fanning , among others, not to mention the Florida "Sunshine Laws" which allow those document dumps in the Orlando Sentinel which then fuel the crazy bloggers and chatters, etc. to come to conclusions from day one.

I'm NOT in support Casey Anthony, but to see it from "afar" is simply amazing........this is why they couldn't find a jury in Orlando. Just imagine if one of us was innocent, but tried in the media or in a book......two years before the trial??? Do not all of those people standing outside the court house have a job? Or a family to take care of?

Nancy Grace actually had to go to court after that mother committed suicide in the VILLAGES when her little boy went missing (after being hounded on the Nancy Grace Show incessantly). Again, it is like the Salem Witch Trials.

I do think Casey is involved in the coverup, as well as George..........but whatever happened, I doubt if we will ever know.............NBC denies offering her 1 million for an interview..........but who knows for sure?

p.s.
For what it's worth, the last name of Cindy Anthony's family was changed throughout the book to protect their privacy, thus Rick Cuza would have been Cindy's brother; Cuza being the fictitous surname.

I bet Nancy Grace is dying to get that interview with Casey Anthony.
I too wonder about all them folks fighting to get a seat in the court room and hanging around the site where the body was found and hanging around the Anthony home. They all need to get a life.

Boycott Casey!Nice idea, but do you really believe that it would make much of a difference? There are going to be media publications on this, and the sales will be coming out the ol' wazoo! They're all going to make a fortune in doing so... and you want a hint as to why? Just look at the hundreds of posts on several different threads that have been going on just here on TOTV, then multiply that by the hundreds in not thousands of other forums or blogs doing the same. Again I'm not saying it's a bad idea or not to do it; I'm just being realistic, that's all!

Thank you, Skyguy. She already is famous. What's another book or movie or interview or whatever?

Does anyone think Nancy Grace and all the other talking heads out there are going to repay the state for all the expense? I wouldn't advise anyone to hold their breath waiting for that to happen.

I think it caught fire because in the beginning it was a missing child case.
It gathered national coverage quickly........similar to the Lindbergh baby kidnapping......then the twists and turns began......and most people do like trying to solve a mystery. That's one set of folks.

Others became obsessed with the case and seeking justice for Caylee. Now they will become obsessed with "Where is Casey hiding" once she gets out of jail.

Maybe we are all just being armchair psychologists or detectives. In Massachusetts a long time ago, Lizzie Borden also got away with murder....and became a legend.
