What do you LOVE about the Villages, the home you chose, your lot and/or the area.

I mean this to be EVERYTHING villages. Your home, neighbors, rec center, golf cart, pools, country club, the way your home is laid out, town squares, shopping, anything and everything you LOVE about being in The Villages!!!

AND... Don't forget to tell us why!!!!

Wow! Where to begin.

The thing I love the most is the golf especially in the summer. I'm full time and I love to be able to walk up to a course and just play. There is usually no wait time for me playing as a single.

I love riding around in a golf cart. It's just plain fun.

The people. Most are very happy and friendly. With a group of 80,000 residents it's amazing to me that we all mostly live in harmony supporting each others life style.

In a nutshell, TV is such a unique environment. It has more than we could hope for as far as infrastructure, amenities, and so on. And just about everybody is there for the same reason - to enjoy themselves! Did we buy our "ultimate home" there? No. But it works for us for what we wanted and what time we have to spend in TV at present.

Bill :)

Wow! A detailed reply could take hours and hours, maybe even days to craft!

Bottom line, for me: Universally friendly people; necessary facilities [grocery stores, doctor's offices and such] accessible by golf cart; no snow, sleet or freezing rain; beautifully maintained public areas; single-story homes [cannot do stairs much, anymore]; on and on!

This question most easily answered by visiting and asking anybody you meet. That is why I posted my question "what do you hate" as in the street everybody loved everything and I needed to know deep down inside them what they hated.:spoken::bigbow:

Big atta boys to all the Villagers, so kind and friendly and HELPFUL!
Love our little yellow house, Love Love Love our LaZamora neighbors.
Love jumping in golf games, anytime and anywhere I want to play.
Love taking my sweet little dog to the pet park so he can read his Pee-mail!
Love working in the yard (more pleasant because of all the trees in LaZamora)
I could definitely be the poster girl for The Villages...We looked everywhere b4 settling here and trust me, there isn't another place on this planet that is even close...
And last but certainly NOT least, Talk of the Villages Forum, if you have a question you will get an answer from these great posters!

As the folks above have said, The Villages is a friendly social network probably unlike anywhere else in the world. Neighbors, club and activity people you meet are almost universally delightful. There is Everything to do!

But there are times that privacy and the sounds only of birds are an absolute luxury. We picked our courtyard villa because it is on a corner at the end of our street, with a large secluded side yard, and a beautiful golf front. Literally, from any place in the yard or around our pool, we cannot see or hear other people or vehicle noise. The golfers are far enough away that we only hear the occasional cheer for a good shot. Despite how much we love our active social lives, we never realized how much we would treasure the peace and quiet. It's paradise!!!

The shear beauty of the place. You can be very active physically or at times just be alone with a book and enjoy nature. Especially at night the neighborhoods are so peaseful and quite. It is hard to believe that there are 80k people here. Everyone really tries to keep the spirit of The Villages alive and preserve what we all love, the friendliness and kindness.

You said it so nicely.

But most of all, I love all of you.

All of your posts are so truthful about The Villages. Our house is still un-sold. When I read your posts about the kindness of the people, beauty and structure of TV, my inner self wants to be there so right now. But I'm not, my patience is wearing thin. My reality dream of The Villages is very bright and kept alive by your posts.

Thank you for sharing your reality dream, it keeps me going when I'm waiting non-patiently for a buyer. We will be there soon, I'm there in spirit this morning.

Love the privacy we have on our lot, the extra half bath. Wished we could have had the bigger garage. Love going everywhere in my golf cart. So many things to do and so little time. Still pinch myself that I live here and have so much fun. Wonderful friends and neighbors we have met.

Love the fact that we hired an amazing decorator to decorate our home. It's the way to go!

Still working up north, that's the only bad thing.

I love my golf cart and the beauty all around TV.

The kindness of neighbors.

The light in Florida is a beautiful thing.

Something I didn't realize before moving here is how lovely and "cool" the evenings are, especially riding to and from market square.

When we moved here 3 years ago I didn't know how to draw but with all the wonderful art clubs and workshops available, I've become an artist.

I feel safe and protected in this community especially after learning on TOTV
about all the people packing heat.

Today was another beautiful day in The Villages.
