Recycling old trophies

Does anyone know where to recycle old trophies (no me, not my friends, not my relatives, LOL). I have many of my kids trophies; some are pretty bare and some have marble and gold plated cups. Some have inscriptions on them with their names, others are generic. Any ideas??

I owned an awards business and got that question all the time. The only suggestion is to donate them to some youth organization if you can find one that would want them. My bet is your wasting your time, trash is your best bet.

I'm wondering if trophies = scrap metal? Can they be sold as such? Anybody know?

We removed the inscription plates and mounted them in a glass covered box and tossed the rest of the trophys. Our son must have had 50 of them.
