I am looking for a company to do a flagstone-look concrete design on my driveway. Has anyone used Stone Creations, and were you happy? I have seen their newly installed work and it looks great, but they have been dropped by the BB Bureau because of some complaints. That makes me concerned. Any suggestions?

We used Amy Newsome - 352-308-7410. Free estimate, shows up when promised, hard work, great result. PM for directions if you want to see our drive, garage and lanai.

Our driveway, lanai, and patio was done by Stone Creations in February. If you would like to see their work you can pm me. Our friends had it done by them almost three years ago and as far as I know, they're happy.

If you are referring to our driveway by Stone Creations, it's now been over a year and we still love it. I'll pm the address.

Out of curiosity, how long do you have to keep cars, carts off of the driveway while it is being processed and cured? I have passed a few houses where it looks like it is days.

I think it was four to five days.

I suggest before you use Stone Creations, you read the article in the POA news.

In the May bulletin, the POA described one couple's complaint that Stone Creations "failed to do perform agreed follow-up repairs on their work." POA also checked with Seniors vs. Crime in The Villages, which have recorded twelve complaints against them. Also, the BBB has dropped their accreditation, whatever that means (maybe not paying dues?)

I was distressed to read about this, as our experience with them was very good. We had a fairly large job, over 1700 sq. ft. It was done in a timely manner and they asked for no money in advance. As to followup, we only had one minor request that involved drainage around a downspout, and they fixed that. Now, 16 months later, I just noticed a thin crack on a sidewalk due to settling of the slab, not the fault of their application.

Maybe their way of doing business has changed; if so, it's too bad for them. From now on we'll only say our experience was good but others have had problems.

Go Concrete just did our lanai in a hand cut flagstone design. They are very professional and know concrete. You are welcome to pm us and see their work.

Check with the Seniors against crime, at the police department, they have alot of information on the black listed contractors.
