I need someone to clean a sofa for me or tell me how to. There are water spots on the cushions. Thank you.

I would like to know the same thing.

Just before we moved here, a couple of months ago I sort of cleaned one of our velvet sofas. It didn't look dirty, but I took a pail of warm water and put some TIDE in it. (This Cincinnati girl just loves those Proctor and Gamble products) and then I wrung, wrang, wringed out the rag until it was just damp, scrubbed the sofa and got a LOT of dirt on the rag. I just kept doing that, but I am not sure I got all of the dirt. It looks about the same as it did before I washed it, but now that I see that it WAS dirty, I want to have it really clean.

Does anyone know a better way?

No...I do NOT obsessively hand wash.

Get Steve from Lotto carpet cleaners, he does sofas and chairs as well and does a great job.

I think i am going to need more of a hint on how to find Steve the sofa cleaner. I can't find him by looking up Lotto Carpet Cleaning on the internet.

Steve from Lotto Carpet came by today. The sofa's look new again. Thank you so much for the recommendation. It was very inexpensive too. :BigApplause: The experience was better than I though it could be. Next he is going to take a paint spot out of my carpet. I am beyond thrilled. The recommendation was "spot on". Chuckle.

Because of your great experience with Steve from Lotto, I called him to clean my sofa and the high traffic areas of my carpeting. He is coming this week and I am looking forward to having my sofa and parts of my carpet look close to new again.

I can say how happy i am to have figured out "Talk of The Villages". It is truly an asset to living in the villages. Next I am going to post about getting a lanai enclosed. Maybe someone will have advice about that.
