He hasn't been around lately. I can't imagine that he wouldn't have strong opinions on the debt ceiling, etc. Maybe he joins the growing list of other sane posters like the infamous Lou Card, DaleMN, Xavier, etc. who got tired of trying to reason with the unreasonable wingnuts that frequent this forum.

Bugs has been around. Ran into him at LSL last week and he seemed to be in his usual gregarious mood. Maybe he's doing some traveling as he's wont to do frequently. You'll have to handle us wingnuts on your own until he gets back.

I ran into Bugs in LSL last night and he told me he was banned for "something he posted", he said, but he doesn't know what. He has an idea, but it doesn't seem that what he's thinking is serious enough. All he can think of is he called another member "unpatriotic".

I rarely agreed with Bugs in political matters, but he's one of the smartest and funniest guys I know and hate that he's gone from this forum.

I wonder if we can appeal to the Admin to give Tbugs back his membership.

Normally I would join something like that,no matter his politics, but he took down kids...KIDS of folks in politics. You cannot take children over the coals no matter how much passion you feel.

I dont mind postng at all !

Richie may be right...he is funny,smart..dont know that....but one thing that bothers me in any political discussion is an attack on the children of candidates, elected officials or anyone of any celebrity.

He, and he is not alone....just said one too many things about the Palin children. I am not a supporter of Palin and would feel the same way if he attacked Obama's children.

It as zero place on this forum and is inexcusable..it speaks to the character of the person posting...in my opinion. You dont do things like that by accident...it is not a slip of the tongue (or keyboard)....

I don't really remember all of that, but TBugs has a way of trying to "punk" us conservatives into lashing out and he gets a kick out of it, and he succeeded with me a couple of times until I "got" his game. Although TBugs liberal credentials are solid, he's also a prankster and a huckster of sorts. I don't believe him to be truly scandalous, but I get your point about the families, especially the children, of the political figure we're discussing.

Richielion..I agree with you concerning TBug motives. I also agree that the kids of celebrities ought to be off limits. In fact I don't much care for the low blows some people take at celebrities. I did not care for the photo Newsweek place on their cover depicting Michelle Bachmann with the look of a mad as a hatter. Apparently many people did not including (drum roll please) NOW...that was a first and I appauld them.:BigApplause:

This take no hostages mentality may work for some who lie their reality TV but it is dangerous and cheapens our political system. Again that is why it was refreshing to see that peopleare starting to speak up:thumbup:
