Where have I been and how could I have missed this???

Just checked out the New Homes Gallery, Courtyard Villas. I can't believe how many new models they have! 8 new designs in the Cabana series and 9 in the Bungalow series. That's a lot of new designs!!! But, there are no pictures/model tours. Does anyone know where I can see what these models look like, besides the floor plans? Floor plans just don't do it for me...boring. Thanks!

 When I was looking for a designer I also went through all of the new cabana's and other series. I suggest that you go to where they are building on a Sunday and just walk through them. It is so much better than looking at a tour. I got a real feel for what square foot the place was and how they were constructed. I went into ones that were almost completed as well. The construction people don't mind you going into any of them as long as there are no workers there. Hope this helps.

Thanks Boo, however I'm a wanna-be in NY. I've been to TV a number of times to check out the real deal. Unfortunately, I have to depend on pictures or model tour videos for now.

well, they are mostly minor re-designs of the old series,
so "new" is relative.

If you go to the "search new homes" and models, you can see a photo of the actual listings there.

We went through a few of the new models earlier this week with our TV sales manager. We went through the new 2BR/2BA Cambridge and Durham concrete models and the 3BR/2BA Valparaiso wood frame model. There isn't much difference between these new models and the models they are replacing. There are now tray ceilings in the master bedrooms (not certain if all have this new feature). The new ceilings were nice, but I didn't see much else different. We loved the Valparaiso model, and will probably end up there, unless we decide we prefer its concrete version. Good luck on your search.

We moved into a 2BR 2BA Woodlawn on July 5th, which is now called a Durham. There were two Durhams already on the market when we made our Woodlawn purchase and the only difference I saw was the front porch overhang was extended so they could add a post and the M/BR had a tray ceiling instead of the vaulted ceilling. However, the biggest difference was since they were closing out both Southern Star Villas and the Woodlawns, our home was marked down twice which made a difference of $30,000 between our new Woodlawn and the two new Durhams in Montbrook.
