Which is your browser of choice ?

Google! It's faster, leaner, and meaner than Internet Explorer. I use both browsers, for different things, but hands down, Google is much faster.

Which is your browser of choice ?

I'm not savvy enough to make choices. My Acer laptop came with Explorer and my iPad with Safari so I use them.

I grudgingly vote for Firefox. The most recent update was a mess, as they moved everything around and navigating became difficult. I've now gotten used to it, but that is no way to treat your "customers".

I vote for Firefox then Safari. Hate Chrome!!! Opera crashes all the time!!! I do agree about the firefox last upgrade, was a little bit of a learning curve, but I like it better than the older one now.

I'm deleting my response as it was stupid.

[QUOTE=Barefoot;376424]AOL is your Internet Provider. You pay them for the pleasure of using their service. You probably know this and you're just funning around, right?

Never mind, I'll get an answer elsewhere.

I just came back after searching Google. I am using Internet Explorer 7, but have no idea how I would know that. They showed you a video taken on the streets of NY and asked people "What is a Browser?". The end result was less than 8% got it right. Sooo, I don't feel as stupid now as a little while ago. Most of the people thought it was a search engine.

Les, your browser will more than likely be one of those that show in the poll responses: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc. A browser is the software that lets you access the internet for doing things like Google searches, signing on to TOTV, looking up the current weather, etc. Since you'll be on TOTV while you're reading this, look at the very top line on your screen - it'll probably say something like "Talk of The Villages..........and then the name of your brower. Mine displays "Mozilla Firefox" as Firefox is the one I've chosen to use.

Hope that's of some help!!!

Bill :)

Thanks Bill, I found out thru Google that I am using Internet Explorer 7, but it doesn't say that anywhere on my screen.

Hmmmm. Sorry for leading you down a bit of the wrong path. Maybe you're running a different operating system. I'm using Windows XP Pro - perhaps you're using Windows 7 or something. Dunno.

I've still got Internet Explorer loaded on my machine so I fired it up......and it says ".......Internet Explorer" on the very top line of any page that comes up. I checked my version - it is version 7, same as what you say you're using.

But glad you figured out the answer you needed!

Bill :)
