Are you tired of flicking through the weekly Recreation News trying to find out where you can go to swim?
Try my color-coded schedule on
http://www.mitziviva.com/tv_swims.htm
Lime (green) for Laps
Cyan (blue) for Combo
Orange for Open
Slots left blank indicate no free swimming due to organized events being held
Remember a few things, though:
1) the schedule can change slightly from week to week
2) some pools can be closed for repairs, or for private parties
3) Open sessions usually have width-walkers, so swim widths not lengths
Hope this makes things a little easier
Don't forget, once you have downloaded the spreadsheet you can personalize it:
- delete any pools that are too far away
- sort by pool rather than by day of the week
- add organized sessions not included
Please let me know of any errors and I'll update

Thanks, at first I thought your schedule looked a little confusing, but when I studied it more it seems good. I'm going to print it out. Maybe you should explain that white means there are classes or water polo going on then.
I like to go to different sports pools on different days so the chart will cut down on my constant confusion !

Another facility you may want to add to the basic schedule is a way to keep track of how busy each session is
I have added a second spreadsheet for clarity - Swim Loads - but you can copy it into Swim Times if you prefer
My example shows early Monday morning swims at Laurel Manor and Lake Miona. Each time you go to either a lap swim or a combo swim, note how many people are there (numbers at the bottom)
The number at the top is how full the pool is, as a percentage (I have used eight lanes and five lanes respectively, as I can't remember exactly how many are in for each session, so change these if necessary)
In this example, the Laurel Manor 7 - 8 am lap swim is the least crowded at 38% full
