Does TV have a program where people living alone are called every morning to see if they are OK? If yes, who do I contact for information?

You might check with Community Watch, they have a program called Adult Watch. I'm not sure of the extent of their program. 352 753 0550

At one time, the Sheriff's Dept (Sumter County) did something like Adult Watch, also. Not sure if they still do. They do offer Vial of Life program....here's the info... http://www.sumtercountysheriff.org/vialoflife.asp This is helpful if you need emergency help and are unable to give medical info to paramedics.

If you live in SUMTER County portions of The Villages.....You or anyone can sign up. Call 352-753-2799... OR .... 352-330-1383 to be a part of this FREE program.....You are assigned an I.D. number... YOU CALL IN to confirm you are OK. If you do NOT call in between 9 am and NOON......MONDAY thru FRIDAY..... a deputy will be dispatched to your home to check on you....OR... IF you prefer, you can name a "designee" to be contacted and have the "designee" check on you. If the "designee" can not be contacted for some reason.. a deputy will then be dispatched to your home for a well being check. Marion and Lake Counties and City of Lady Lake portions of The Villages might also have a similar program..BUT am only aware that Sheriff Bill has one in Sumter County.
