The man I voted for has turned into a gutless, quivering wimp. There are posters here with more courage and conviction. He refuses to tell the truth, those able to buy influence in Washington, the rich and corporate America do not pay their fair share while their incomes and profits reach record levels. Meanwhile whats left of the middle class pays more than ever.Somehow the tea party nuts have convinced voters that this is how it should be and are willing to ruin the entire economy to get their way. Obama should have cursed the Wall St. greed heads and the tea party know nothings and rescued the middle class. No,he cant, wont fight the fight.

You have came to the right place to hate Obama. I agree he has caved on to many promises he made in 08. I thought he would at least get us out of the conflicts with the primitive Muslims. :( You can reason with religious fanatics.

You sound like an angry confused person. You have my sympathies. You are wrong about the Tea Party, though.

"Obama is quoted as saying " I am a better speech writer than my speech writers." "I know more about policies on any issue than my policy directors." and, I'm Lebron baby...I got game"

Socrates wrote that wisdom begins in recognition of how little we know. Plutarch warned that flattery makes itself an obstacle and pestilence of great houses and great affairs. and the white House is stuffed with flatters.

Much is made of Obama's rhetorical gifts. Can anyone recall a memorable phrase from one of Obama's big speeches that didn't amount to a cliche'?

Then there is Obama as a political tactician. He makes prediction that prove false. He makes promises he cannot honor. He raises expectations he cannot meet. He reneges on commitments in makes in private. He surrenders positions staked in public.

It takes actual smarts to understand that glibness and self belief are not sufficient proof of genuine intelligence. Stupid is as stupid does says Forrest Gump. The presidency of Barack Obama is a case study in as stupid does.

"He refuses to tell the truth"

Welcome to his world.....this part of your post applies to his entire career, if you bother to check.....always, but the press fell in love with the guy and now we have him.

Your lack of knowledge on exactly what is happening is troubling, but understandable seeing how you got conned by Obama

YOU call people "nuts" because those in the Dem party have made that their mantra. You are calling folks names like that who simply want the spending to stop ! You ignore the chances he has had in the last 3 years and the ONLY way to get his attention. He lied to get Obama care...do you care ?

Wow,I wish I was as smart as you. You do seem to have all the answers. Good. I just don't see the repubs doing me any good,I'm not rich enough. As for the tea party,I also do not think they have my interests at heart. And as I stated in my post Obama does not have the guts to stand up to them and say what many Americans feel so I'm on the outside looking in. Finally, yes I check,my knowledge base is second to none and I do care.

My post had nothing to do with the tea party, Dems or Republicans.

I have been consistent for 3 years on our President...read the archives. I predicted a lot of what has happened. Certainly not all because he has been forced to lie from another angle now. I made my case then and if anyone reads his autobiographies and checks the Chicago Tribune and other archives about this man you will find he always tells lies, then "sweettalks" himself out of trouble, and is incapable of standing his ground on anything. He is not even close to a leader. It is simply what he has done....he did not just start..and what he continues to do.

He has never carried any responsibility...he is the man who yelled about lack of leadership the last time the debt ceiling was raised....why do people ignore what this man does.

Your knowledge base, that is second to none has completely and totally misread his past or you would have seen this coming because his is today what he has always been

PS......I am not in the ball park in knowing a lot...my posts will bear that out if you do read the archives. I learn more by reading on this forum than by posting....HOWEVER, this country was duped by the man in 2008. And party folks like you knew it but didnt care...I recall a Dem poster on this forum who supported Clinton for the nomination calling him an "empty suit" until he was the nominee and then he was truely the most wonderful man. We have a con man in the WH....he is there because the hatred for the previous president outwieghed any common sense or any logical thinking both by the Dem party and the media

As for the tea party,I also do not think they have my interests at heart.
Do you want to be safe from attack by a foreign country?
Do you want the freedom provide security for your home and family?
Do you want to be able to choose where your income goes?
Do you want the right to give to the charity of your choice?Do you want the freedom to choose who needs your financial help?
Are you tired of living by the laws of the land and from paycheck to paycheck, so you tax dollars can provide for those who won't work OR live by the laws of the land?
Do you want to be able to choose what you need or don't need in regards to your physical health?
Do you want the freedom to invest according to your own judgment for your retirement and old age?
Do you want to be able to celebrate, at the business that you own, those holidays that you deem precious to you?
Do you want to be able to hire the individuals that you deem most able to work and represent the values that your business operates under?
Do you want to be able to educate your children and grandchildren with the facts, figures, and beliefs that you deem most important and valuable to their success in their lives?
Do you believe it is robbery to take from the rich to give to the poor?
...you may have more in common with the Tea Partyers than you think!

Obama should have cursed the Wall St. greed heads and the tea party know nothings and rescued the middle class. No,he cant, wont fight the fight.Well, what can I say? I won't go into all the details which, like you, have lead to my disappointment. I can tell you that the first wave of doubt washed over me when he gave the UAW the unearned and unjustified gift of the century in the GM bailout--a purely political move that pandered for votes, screwed the rule of law and cut the legs off the enforceability of lenders' contracts.

So now I've reached the same point you have. I'm not going to vote for his re-election. I'm not going to get myself all upset by re-visiting all the reasons why he lost me somewhere along the way. He has and that's probably enough said.

My reaction to our president will be like the relationship he's built with the business community in his 30 months in the job. It was described on The Morning Joe this morning whe someone asked why doesn't the president call a meeting of a lot of CEO's and try to convince them that they should be investing the huge amounts of cash they're carrying on their balance sheets. Another panelist asked, "Who would come? He'd probably find that he couldn't get thru to them to issue the invitation."

Someone else asked how the traders and the markets reacted to the speech he gave early in the afternoon that the market tanked by 634 points. Someone who was on the floor of the NYSE at the time said, "Some walked away. Others were seen reaching for the TV clicker." The market tanked another 200-250 points after his speech.

Strange things can happen in elections, particularly when Obama is sitting on $1 billion in campaign cash to spend. But short of that, I think he's a dead man walking.

I think if the business landscape was such that profit was likely with business expansion, Obama wouldn't have to invite anyone to do anything. I think business would take care of itself. Don't you think?

Other than that one point, I basically agree with what you've said.

Other than that one point, I basically agree with what you've said. There's no question that business doesn't need the cajoling by a POTUS to make decisions to invest in potentially profitable businesses. The POTUS would be better served calling in his whole cabinet and lecturing them on doing...or undoing...the things that reduce the confidence of business here in the U.S. That would include stuff like re-reviewing every single regulation that slows down or inhibits business or investment, re-looking at the Patent Office, which has a 3-year backlog of patents awaiting processing, juggling the budgets of the various departments in order to provide funds for infrastructure development, juggling even more funds to do the things that will educate our kids better, and so forth.

He doesn't need a businessman in the room for any of those ideas.

That's a great start. Reducing capital gains taxes for a predictable and extended period of time would also be beneficial, especially if they were limited to investments and expansion that provably resulted in American jobs.

You're just finding this out now? You actually thought this guy cares about average Americans never trained in marxist/communist "community organizing" theory?? That he's an empty suit that has never managed a single thing, has never had a job except for "community organizer", and that he was sheltered in the Ivory Tower at U. of Chicago Law School???

That he helped to quash the Washington DC school voucher program so kids in the worst schools in the nation could have a chance at a safe, great performing private school.......while he himself went to an expensive private high school in Hawaii, and while his own daughters attended the Univ. of Chicago Lab Schools for a mere $38,000 per year BEFORE they needed the security they need as the President's children in Washington??
