A waitstaff person told me of a place for outstanding Sunday brunch, called Dick's Embers. Supposed to be outside TV, on the way to Ocala.

She said it is a great brunch for a special treat or special company..... but I can't find info anywhere on it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks:smiley:

I believe it is called Vic's Embers. I have driven by it but do not know anything about the place. Check it out: http://vicsembers.com/Index.htm

Vic's Embers is on the south end of Leesburg. It is an outstanding restaurant and one of my very favorites. The wait staff is excellent and the food prepared to a high standard. It's NOT a diner so bring 2 or 3 credit cards or the gold bullion you have stashed away.

hahahaha, I have heard that also, and plan to mortgage your house.. LOL... I've also heard the food is good, didn't know about them serving brunch, but it could be. I do think you're referring to Vic's Embers. Have fun and good luck!!

Thanks all! No wonder I couldn't find it- I had it all screwy. :loco:
I should be better at translating accents, half my beloved family sounded like Desi Arnaz. I guess I'm out of practice!

They had an ad in the paper that said they will send a bus free of charge if a party of 30 people sign up. Maybe a TOTV outing?

Had dinner there a couple of weeks ago....when you walk through the door it is a time warp to a 1950's supper club. Food and service were good, not sure the atmosphere was my cup of tea.

Some TV'ers think any restaraunt is overpriced if it's not all you can eat for under $10. Vic's is the only place I know that still makes one of the planet's greatest Ceasar salads like they did in the "old" days...At tableside, & still using a raw egg...like the wonderful way restaraunts used to be proud of.
