I went to Sakura with a good friend last week for sushi. We had a 15% discount coupon from the Daily Sun. We ordered the Sushi and Sashimi Platter for 2. Talk about a beautiful presentation as well as fantastic food. There was plenty of top quality sashimi and sushi for the both of us and we both really can go through a lot!

It is a quiet place where you can hold conversations easily and there was no rush to get us out. We spent about 2 hours eating at our leisure and having great conversation and getting to know each other better. We will be returning in the future.

We will be returning in the future.I agree with you 100% except that it can get crowded with people waiting for tables if you get there at the wrong time. However, we were in TV earlier this year, we ate there about 3 or 4 times, and only once saw a few people waiting. I also have mobility and spacing problems and would have difficulty sitting in areas that are difficult to get into.

I'm not sure they normally take reservations, but what I do is call before leaving our house and see if they can seat me up front where I would not have a problem or be an inconvenience to others. I also let them know I can get there in about 10-15 minutes. They let me know if they can accomodate me ok or they let me know if they're busy enough at that time that it would be a problem. If they can't accomodate, we just wait and try again later, or we just simply pick another place to go if we don't want to wait.

When Sakura first opened I took some friends with me and we were all very impressed. I've since been back several times and have always found the service and food to be excellent. This restaurant is a little known pearl here in TV and I really hope they are a success.

Sounds great. Have been thinking about trying Sakura, so now we will.

We like to stay awhile to talk, too, but if it's busy we try to remember to leave so others waiting can get in, and also so the server can seat more people at that table and make enough tips to get up beyond tipped-server wage of $4.27/hour.

I agree, but it's worth the wait. My wife loves sushi and sashimi and is never disappointed at Sakura. I am not a huge fan of raw anything, but will taste a bit as an appetizer, but I think their teriyaki dishes are very well done. The vegetable tempura is awesome.

Thanks very much for the link. I've tried the Japanese Steak House at LSL which was very good, and now on my next visit I'll try the Sakura. Have a great weekend!

I like the place but I would like it better is I could get Uni and Ikura. The sushi seems to be limited to American sushi. My first time there I was waited on by an anglo. It just didn't seem right.

I have been wanting to try this place place for sometime, and with all the good reports, I think I will be doing it sooner than later.

I'd you want Uni and Ikura, you have to go all the way to Apoka. The place is small but it's owned and run by a Japanese sushi chef. There other items are authentic too. I know you'll want to know the name but at present, I can't remember. I am hoping there are authentic Japanese restaurants in Orlando but haven't checked out. Way, way back there was a Japanese restaurant at Epcot's international restaurant center around the lake but don't know whether it exist now. Believe it was called Shirokiya.

Sakura is the best restaurant in TV. As soon as we get a guest we take them there for dinner and they love it. It is my favorite restaurant in TV. Sometimes I go there twice a week. I find there noodle soup dishes my best recommendation. I always have left overs for the next day. I give that restaurant an A+.

The 1st time I went, both the fish and rice were on the warm side, not well chilled. I've been back several times since and have enjoyed it each time and it's now one of my favorites.

If I could eat at only one restaurant locally, Sakura would be the one I would pick. Out of the probably 50-75 times we've dined there, we've never had even the slightest complainit.
