I get their flyer in email every week. Looks like some good trips. Has anyone travelled with them? What kind of experience did you have?

Has no one had experience with this company?

My experience has been that in their advertizing for cruises they do not include port fees and taxes which makes their prices artificially low. As long as you know about it and request the full price including all fees and taxes for the period you wish to take a vacation there is no problem. For cruises I personally prefer vacationstogo.com. Legendary Journeys is probably the most popular travel agency in this area. When a group comes up with an idea for a cruise with multi people LJ furnishes one or two large buses depending on the size of the group and picks you up at one of the rec centers then takes you to the boat, also picks you up and returns you to the Villages . This service is sometimes free or a very small fee.........We are doing it again in January and the last I heard there were 64 couples going.... We do it at least twice a year and always have a wonderful time ..............I recommend them highly , We deal with Mary Beth but they have a very competent staff...........good luck

Thanks for the input. I've seen some of their iteneraries that I'm interested in. I also like VacationsToGo.

I see that they offer a fantastic tour of Italy; first class at a reasonable price (includes free air). 5 days in Rome, 5 days in Tuscany and 5 days in Venice with meals included. If we go I'll write a review. Fumar, thanks for your review, I'm assuming no dogs were allowed.

Friends of ours used LJ for a cruise to Bermuda, with a day at each end in Charleston I think.

They really enjoyed themselves, found the pricing competitive, and appreciated the convenience of the transport to and from TV.

LJ is a franchise operation with eleven locations in Florida, their Corp HQ being in Sarasota. I checked the BBB about them - 47 complaints over the past 36 months and a B- (B Minus) rating. Looks like they have lots of employees (travel agents?) so some will be great, some good, and some not-so-good. Life is a crap shoot! So is travel!
