There are no leagues, ala a bowling league. You can hook up with others and arrange a tee time or you can request a tee time for yourself and others will join you on the tee time.
There is alot of information at this site www.golfthevillages.com (you may have to cut and paste or enter the address)
Good golfing.

there are also men's days ---tuesdays and ladies days- wednesdays- at championship and executive courses. these are great ways to meet other golfers and have a fun day as well.

I believe you need to be a Priority Member to play on Men's and Ladies' days at the championship courses. You need a resident ID (which renters can get for the extra $50 for 2 people for the duration of your stay - check with your landlord) to sign up for the executive course Ladies' and Men's days.

There are probably leagues in whatever neighborhood you are renting in, so introduce yourself to your neighbors and let them know you'd love to fill in.

Don't be shy at the Ladies', Men's days - ask others in your foursome if they're in any other groups that may need subs, and ask any compatible golfers if they'd like to play independently, especially other renters who might also be looking for golf friends.

Also, don't be shy about signing up by yourself. I've met many nice people that way and had many offers to play again that I was unable to do at the time because I was only there for a week or so. There are lots of renters, especially during the season, who are in your same boat - just keep introducing yourself and meeting people.

The link will take you to a group that plays ''off the reservation''. Troopes is probably the closest thing to a league without 'priority' status.

Otherwise, ask your neighbors, many villages have group outings weekly.

Also ask the guys you might golf with at men's day.

Depending on your handicap there are groups you can play with. Most of the ones I play in require priority membership. We have Monday, Wednesday, Saturday group.
