has been often the butt of jokes on here along with sarcasm and plain hate talk over the years. I never got much involved simply because I do not watch cable news much at all.
Today, I noted the following while doing some web browsing....
[B]"Ed Schultz apologized on Tuesday for playing a clip of Texas Gov. Rick Perry out of context.
On Monday, Schultz played footage of Perry seeming to refer to President Obama as a "big black cloud" over America. Schultz said this was evidence of latent racism in the Republican field. In fact, Perry was talking about the debt, not Obama. On Tuesday, Schultz acknowledged his mistake--but stressed that he thinks there is ample evidence to bolster his claim that Perry is trying to smear Obama"
No mention of any company discipline...or a statement criticizing the obvious, if you read the article, editing of a news item to slant it. As a matter of fact, NOT MENTIONED AT ALL on MSNBC that I could see !
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/17/ed-schultz-apologizes-rick-perry_n_929066.html
Then I proceeded to check their take on the Presidents vacation. There was an article, tame on any criticisms, but while it could have said that other Presidents were subject to the same criticisms in the past, it mentions in passing the President Clinton used to poll to determine where to go and then this...
"Former President George W. Bush was criticized for spending nearly 500 days at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, during his two terms in office. He was there in August 2001 when he received a CIA briefing paper warning him of al-Qaida's intentions to strike the United States — just over a month before the Sept. 11 attacks would occur. And in 2005, he remained on vacation after Hurricane Katrina swamped New Orleans and devastated the Gulf Coast. His presidency suffered from his response to the storm and his decision to not immediately return to Washington."
Quite detailed I thought for the idea of the story.

Then to Chris Matthews part of the website...and these were the front stories...
"Is Perry taking his accusations too far"
"Bachman makes a mistake about Elvis"
"Some Republicans to avoid open town halls"
"Are the GOP candidates too radical"
These were on the front page...if you search you will find
"When will Bachmann's hypocrisy end" among others, none about new jobs, none about the budget problem, none about the cost of the health care bill.

This network is so skewed that watching it for any length of time and not checking legimate news sources will simply brain wash you.
I know that networks have their bias, but this, to me anway, is so far over the top it is just plain ridiculous. This is from TODAY...no gathering..just browsing.
I am making an assumption here that those of you who are on here bashing Fox, must watch this claptrap...please explain how this network is even close to informative on anything ?

Each cable news network supports some sort of politican agenda. So if you want good news you have to watch each of them for 10 minutes then forget what you heard, go have a cold beer and watch for the black helicopters. LOL
Remember if you are white male, veteran, or believe in the constitution, our current government help (DHS) as decided that you are a terrorist. Good luck finding a job with that label.

MADE A MISTAKE ????? He, on purpose, manipulated footage of a news event and misconstrued the event to serve his purpose. You call that a MISTAKE ?
Your links to editorial critiques of Rush Limbaugh do not relate to your comments on Fox at all, but thats ok..you get your news from MSNBC...we understand better your posts.

This thread is about MSNBC...you always turn things to Fox...so dont watch it. I dont...however I might mention that most americans do watch it. Those of you dependant on cable news might do some research instead..might help.
And again, this thread was offered because of ONE days worth of MSNBC...ONE DAY....was not a defense of any other cable news outlet...Fox was mentioned because folks of your ilk tend to talk about them more than anyone else.
Find it interesting however that you would defend the knowing twisting of facts by devious means and offering it to viewers like you as FACT...disturbing that it happens and distrubing that it gets your respect.

Bucco....you always accuse me off NOT providing links. This time I did.
Ed Schultz has be disciplined but MSNBC before I guess that doesn't matter to you. And he admitted the distortion.
I did NOT see the footage as I don't watch Ed Schultz. I have told you before I listen and watch multiple sources for my news.
Rush Limbaugh made a racial remark about an Oreo cookie and the President. And its not the first time. But who cares.....

1. The thread was about MSNBC..not Rush Limbaugh or even comparing the cable channels.
2. A guy is fired by NPR for voicing his views...no lying, just voicing his views and is featured in the news. A guy ON PURPOSE manipulates news footage and nothing is said !
3. You can watch whatever you want...but you do revert to Fox on pretty much a regular basis...your right to do that and this is not a defense of that network, but it just strikes me as strange the fascination with them that you have.
4. I dont care what Rush Limbaugh says. He does not purport, to my knowledge to be a news reporter as does many of the other folks previously mentioned.
5. Yeah, it is always about race isnt it ? I am one who is getting sick of the one way street those statements appear to be on. I am tired of being included in the many generalities that condemn me and my race FOR CONDEMNING another race which I dont do. Not politically correct, but I have tired of the race card played any way...it is boresome and I hope the racist accusations can just disappear. The BLACK CAUCUS pretty much says what it wants with no criticism ever

Has a very good article about race in today's paper. He mentions that when the rioting is reported, if they are black, it is not mentioned in the news, especially if it is black beating on whites. Discrimination works both ways and the media is a willing participant.
