First, thank you Gracie and all for your concern. It really did mean a lot to me. I've moved in (kind of). Have a long way to go in unpacking but I'll get it done.
Don't know how much I'll be posting. A lot will depend on the new admin. As much as I admired TH and Tony, they seemed to think my main reason for posting was to get business. It wasn't then. It isn't now. However, a lot of my posts were centered around knowledge gleaned through my business, so it was easy to see why the thoughts were as they were, especially since I really didn't post that much unless I felt I could truly contribute something. So, I'm really not sure how much I will post but I will be around.
Now, a favor. I have a 10 YO boy staying with me for the next couple of weeks until his dad gets on his feet (he just found a job) and can get a place of his own. The boy came with next to nothing. I've managed to get him a bike and an old PS2 and school stuff. He LOVES Legos. If, by any chance, you have some old toys/games a 10 YO boy would like to play with, I would truly appreciate it. This is a good kid with a good father that just fell on some hard luck. PM me (if it works for me) and I'll happily make arrangements to pick anything up you might have. Thanks!

Find Freecycle.com in your area... If you post this you wil have EVERYTHING you need for your young friend!!! It's not a charity.. It's to keep good stuff from going in the trash and keep our country green. I use it a lot to get rid of useful items and when I find myself in situations such as you. I posted for Kennels when I was rescuing and I had so many in such a short period of time, I had to give them to other rescues.

hi redwitch,
Even though I've been quiet for a while now, I just wanted to say that I always enjoy your slant on things. Glad to see you back and that you've completed your move.
I admire your undertaking of a 10 YO. As Oren suggested, you may want to try Freecycle.org (http://freecycle.org) to check for groups in TV area,
as well as The Villages FL ReUse It (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheVillagesFLReUseIt/) yahoo group.
Good luck with all of your endeavors!

Welcome back Red!
We are still in Lakeport and can't help with 10 YO stuff - if he was staying until mid October we could bring some of our son's old stuff that he might get some use out of that is stored here.
Went down 680 a few weeks ago and stopped at the Pleasant Hill Target to we-we (for those not familiar - this Target is right by and off and on ramps to I-680). Temp was the summer normal 105. We were heading down to Cambria (250 miles further south by Hearst Castle on the coast) where the temps were great all week-end; highs in the mid 60's. Sure do miss living in the East Bay with the normal summer highs of low to mid 80's.

Another welcome back to you Redwitch. Wish I could help with your young guest -- hope all goes well with him. For what it's worth, I never thought your previous posts were trying to solicit business. For the longest time I didn't even know you had a home watch business -- hope it's OK to post that.

Welcome back Redwitch. If you think your ward likes to fish, I know I can come up a fishing rod, tackle box and some tackle. Just let me know.

What's all the hooey about you trying to get business? I've
been lurking on TOTV ever since we knew we were going to live there eventully. I've read ALL of your posts, which I always look for, and all were insightfull and loaded with the much needed knowledge that newbies like the Mrs. and me seriously need.
To that point I don't even know what business you are in if that says anything.
Wish we could help out but won't be down until the movers get us there in 6 weeks.

:highfive:I have to agree with you. I've been lurking then active on TOTV since I joined and have seen many of Dee's posts. Not a single one did I ever see anything remotely resembling advertising for her services. Could it be that the few who might think that she has might be confused by the many that have recommended her because she does provide good service? Don't know, just saying!
