Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician? My wife and I are on our third in two years and we'd really like to find someone we have confidence in.

Family Physicians of Bellview.......The Villages office is on 441 in the plaza across from Billys Cafe with Beals and Walmart. I go to Dr. Catherine Horner and my husband goes to Dr. Pead. Very happy with them.

We used Family Physicians of Lake Sumter when we first arrived in The Villages and were not satisfied at all. The Doctors were...how can I put it - not our kind of Physicians...and the office staff was terrible. After suffering through several unsatisfactory experiences we moved on and eventually ended up with our current Doctors at Primier Medical Associates on Santa Barbara Blvd in The Villages. We'd really like to find a primary care physician that we both like and have confidence in.

tomkat,
Thank you for posting this question. Don't have an answer but will be watching for the responses you get. While in TV last month I ended up in urgent care myself. Not something that you are planning on when on a "vacation". I really did not know which one to go to but did look to this site for suggestions and was happy with the treatment and care I received at Lake Regional Urgent Care in LSL.
While hubby is retired, I am still working and only get to visit our home in TV a few times per year. That will change when I do retire in a few months. In preparation of this I have begun to have my records here (Mich) copied and will bring everything with me when we are snowbirds this winter. I don't see a reason to go to urgent care for anything minor and would like to get a relationship established with a good PCP.

Dr. Abu Azzizullah. I've been going to him for 7 years. He and his staff are very caring. He's in a new bldg. behind the Aldi on Hwy 441.

We are happy with Premier Medical. If your doctor is not available you can always get to see other in the same practice. They have their won urgent care too.

After 4 Doctors, I finally found one I really like. I have been going to Dr. Burress at Lady Lake Family Medicine for 6 or 7 years. He's awesome. His PA, Sylvia is great ! They are on 466 near Rolling Acres.

Hello Bonny (from fellow Kentuckian) - we live in Northern KY.
I am searching for primary care physicians for my Mom, and will need for my me and husband also. Do you still recommend Dr. Burress? I'm gathering recommendations so we can check with my Mom's Cincinnati doc and her insurance before we take her down in October.
Thanks for your help.

We use Dr. Florian Gegaj (Geeguy) at Premier Medical Assoc. they have offices in Sumter Landing and near the hospital, also have urgent care facility. He is very comprehensive but does not believe in tests or medicines that make no since. He is conservative and believes we should take some responsibility for our health. Good luck in your search, did you know they are opening a new clinic on 466-A this fall that will be part of a pilot system where doctors are paid a salary vs income based on number of patients and tests billed. That might be something you want to check out. You can get info on the FSU website. Good luck on your search.

Ok, I'll display my ignorance. What is the FSU website? If it's Florida State Univ, i can't find the info there...
