We will be closing on our St James Gardenia Monday morning. Wifey is retired but I am not; however, I will be on vacation for next 3 weeks in our new home. After that, w/end commutes from SoFla will have to suffice for awhile.
It's a big deal for us for many reasons, primary of which is that it marks the beginning of a transition from decades of employment to (hopefully decades of) retirement. Those of you who have already retired can relate, I am sure.
Another reason is that this will be only the third home we have owned in our 31 years of marriage. We lived in our first home 12 years, and have lived in our second home for the past 19 years. I can't imagine what it's like to sell/buy/move as frequently as some of you fellow TOTVers have. I recall one of you wrote that you've moved 17 times. Wow!
I am posting this thread to tell you how much I have appreciated your collective knowledge and input since I joined TOTV last January.
Thank you very much! You all have made this experience less daunting.
Oh, and you can be sure that I will continue to be a TOTVer. There is just too much more to learn from you and to share with you. Besides, you all are an awfully fun group with whom to e-hang out.
And Skyguy, I agree: Russ Boston does love the Yankees!
