Been reading about ceiling ladders for the garage. Where does one get one
and have it installed? If possible the cost of having this done.
Thanks

I used a local handyman. He installed an aluminum one for $325.00 Home depot or lowes can take care of it for you.

Do not be afraid to install a ceiling ladder yourself. The ladders purchased at Home Depot come with detailed installation instructions that are simple and easy to follow if you even have minimal carpentry skills. The hardest part is lifting the ladder assembly up into position.

I used a very popular handyman that I found mentioned on TOTV many times, his name is Tim Miller or 'Tim the Toolman'. I believe he charges $190 for wooden ladders and $275 for aluminum, which is what I had installed and that includes all materials and labor. That also included putting plywood flooring in the attic so you'll have a solid surface to store your items. His phone is 352-217-0561.
I had Tim do many other projects as well. In our master walk-in closet he raised all our existing wire shelving up a foot and installed new shelving below, which doubles your closet and only charged $150 materials and labor. Among other jobs he installed our hand pulls on the kitchen cabinets. He's very reliable and does excellent work.

My neighbor and I bought the wooden stairs for $99.00 dollars and we helped each other install it. It only took a few hours and it was a great opportunity to bond with a swell neighbor.

I had Tim install the aluminum just last week and he charged me $275.00 I liked what he did and when he left, you didn't know he had been there. GREAT JOB...
