Has anyone had or know anyone who has had cryosurgery? if so could you tell me more about it.

...a gyn surgery? If so I have had it and been a nurse present while it was done. It is a freezing that is done to the cervix and depending on the doctor only freezes for about 3 minutes....but it seems forever while it is being done. Really there are very few nerve endings in the cervix so....very minimal discomfort. Then the cells are sloughed off slowly while the body regenerates new ones.
Of course there could be other types of cryosurgery and I cannot tell you are a male or female ;) Hope this was helpful!

Dermatologists also use cryosurgery to "burn" off actenic keratosis (pre cursors of squamos cell skin cancer). He/she will apply liquid nitrogen either via cotton swab or by spray to the affected area. It will form a small blister and usually, depending on the size of the affected area, slough off as a scab in about a week.

I heard some podiatrists were using it for foot ailments, anyone know anything about this.
