Does anyone know if there are any buses that run to Gainsville and back for UofF football games? If so, do you know who to contact?

Would love to know this also. We are planning to go to opening day and it looks like parking is extremely limited. Do you get any responses or have any suggestions?

Dont know of bus service from TV, but most of the parking is out from campus and they shuttle you in to game. I forget how many parking areas they shuttle from.

We went to a game last year ... had to park waaay out on somebody's lawn for an outrageous price and had to walk to the stadium ... had a GREAT time ... the SWAMP is an AWESOME experience ...

The Villages has a very active and fun Florida Gator Club. Our next meeting will be June 6th at Seabreeze Recreation Center at 6 pm. We will also be having a Gator Bocce Social at Lake Miona Bocce Courts tomorrow, Thurs. the 16th, at 5pm. You do not have to be a Fla. grad to join. You just need to like the Gators and like having fun. All fans are welcome!

Try stubhub. I got great TN tix 4 together, 50ish yard line, alum side, $300 each. no they are not for sale.

RTS - Regional Transit System for the city of Gainesville, FL - Other Services - Later Gator - Gator Aider (http://go-rts.com/other.php)

City buses, nice and safe, shuttle from various locations around GNV for $10 a head. I recommend the Haile location (golf community, the little villages) because it's not far off the interstate, and outside the city traffic. You'll exit I-75 at Archer Rd, which is packed out with restaurants.

Selling of tix (basically scalping) is now legal in fl but not on campus. The corner of University and 34th is where some sell tix, and of course along university across from the swamp.

Also try some of the many Gator forums on the net.

Park in the rear lots of Oaks Mall and use park and ride, last year was $8 each IIRC. The few games I've been to I would park in lot across from Reitz union on museum drive, or sometimes at the college of law.
The Florida bookstore is a good place to cool off on way back to Jeep.

new to the villages. friends are coming down to go to the homecoming game in november and wondered if there was a bus going from the villages to the game.

2013 TN at UF
Well, wasn't that an interesting game? Our new QB Murphy took to the field after injury to Driscoll, who is reportedly out for the season, and Murphy threw, ran and handed to runners making the Gators look like the Gators. Offensive line kept him protected, runners scrambled and found the hole. Defense was incredibly smooth.

In a day with tragedies and errors, we triumphed. I totally enjoyed the West side seats from a lucky pick off stub hub, on the 50, midway up, just far enough to be out of the sun at gametime. It's great to be a Florida Gator.

It was a magical gator and friends day. oh yeah, and we won. I love to win. It's my tribe.
