Most of the buildings you see in the video are still there. Interesting to see Diamond Head without the condos and hotels around the base. Some of the hotels shown on Kalakaua Ave are still there as well (Moana Surfrider and Royal Hawaiian). Reminds me of when I first arrived in Hawaii in 1967 when the pace of life here was much slower.

Having lived in Hawaii from 1972 - 1983, working and attending College, I agree on the much different pace of life even then in Honolulu. Enjoyed the clip and seeing Waikiki before all the concrete and high rises arrived.
