OK, the guy across the street had some BOYS out yesterday to install some
reconditioned BATTERYs. now the cart has slow speed & poor distance.
My question is how do you recondition a 4-5 year old battery & why is there
no information about this on any battery manufactors websites ?

You don't. It is a scam.

Everyone is out to make a buck and reconditioned batteries is just one of the ways they try to get our money. I didn't know BB had stooped so low, guess they are learning it's alot of work and tough to make a living selling batteries at such a small profit margin. Doesnt take a busines major to figure that one out. Reconditioned batteries is not the only scam, I have uncovered others.

People buy used/reconditioned things all the time. Contact BB to see if they will stand behind them. Did they make promises about the reconditioned batteries? A slow cart isn't always the batteries. It is easy to check the voltage drop when the cart is in motion.

Golf cart batteries are not a good candidate for the recondition chemicals on the market today. The products are mainly desulfators that serve as plate cleaners. If you could see the inside of a four year old battery you would see the grids lined with lead mass have hollow spots that serve no purpose for holding a charge any longer.

My professional opinion is stay away from claims to recondition deep cycle batteries.
