I've been here three years and have yet found a good reliable cat sitter.

I've had snoopy pet sitters - yes they do that; I've had pet sitters who smoked in the lanai (we are non smokers); I've had sitters who clearly did not do a good job of cleaning up where I expect clean up (litter box, food dish area, etc.) Or I've had sitters who spend no more than two minutes in and out.

I had one gal who sat around and watched TV all afternoon. Another who took it upon herself to investigate what was in my desk drawer (do they think we don't know if items are moved).

I just want a person who loves cats, knows how to do what is necessary and will treat my home with respect. Is there such a person!

my wife is that person. But we are in NY right now as we await Irene to hit us over the head.

We used Ace Pet Sitters for our 2 cats and these two ladies are the most loving, caring, and responsible pet sitters I've ever known. At least give them a call and talk to them. You won't be disappointed. Here is a site with a couple reviews for them plus how to contact them:

I am new to TV and also to TOTV and am also looking for a cat sitter; I am wondering if you have been able to find one yet?

You can try Jan Greiner Snow at 750=0801. Can't ask for anyone better.

Try Gwen at 430-4388. She's super honest, a non-smoker, loves animals and believes in spending time with them. She watches cats and dogs, in your home or hers, daily or weekly. She's taken great care of my dog (a high-strung rat terrier) for years. I just love her!

I have 3 cats that I love dearly. I mentioned to one of my best friends here that I needed a cat sitter and he immediately volunteered to watch them when I occasionally travel and has been a wonderful find. I have two more neighbors/friends who've volunteered to be backup sitters besides.

Is there a neighbor/friend you would trust with your home and cats? It's worked great for me.

We did the same thing as Richie did with ours. A neighbow from across the street watched our cat for three days. No problem. no charge.

Bright spot, is this really you??

I'm wondering how much the Ace Pet Sitters charge for a live in situation with two dogs and a 19 year old cat. Fire Boy is retiring in January, so we'd like to start doing some traveling.
