I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance and am trying to find a preferred provider dentist. The Blue Cross rep gave me the names of three dentists in our area. Can anyone tell me anything about them? They are William Bartling, Manuel Middleton, and Stephen Semesco. Thanks.

The greatest Dentist and Dental Office I have ever found is right here in The Villages (Spanish Springs). Dr. Maria Loung at Serenity Dental Spa. She is wonderful! Her office and staff is wonderful as well. Connie will have to answer your question about Blue Cross. 352-350-1933

Tiger Lady, many times dentists may not be on your list of providers but they will accept your insurance. There may be a slight difference in your out of pocket expense but, if you have a good dentist, it is worth it. Usually the difference is minimal so talk to the offices that you are referred to. We don't take all insurances, sometimes the fees that the companies pay make it not worth it, we could not give the kind of care that we always want to provide. Some (definitely not all) dental insurances companies pay so little that the dentists are forced to use less quality labs and materials in order meet the budget that they are given, that is why some dentists don't accept all insurance providers. If you find someone that you trust and like, talk to them, see what you can do to make it work!

I too am searching. I went to the new Sumter Landing Dental. WHAT A JOKE!! This hygenist chipped my crown and tried to blame it on decay. Funny he examined it before she cleaned and never noted it. They took no blame...so now I'm left with a BIG PROBLEM. What incompetence!!!!:undecided::cus:
