How cold and mean-spirited can they get? Eric Cantor wants to tie any disaster aid to those who suffered damage in Irene to equal spending reductions in other areas.
Using hurricane victims as political pawns is about as low as you can go...but surely not a surprise. Considering Michelle Bachmann finds humor in attributing the hurricane to God sending a message. How much humor is there in the loss of 38 lives. :cus:

Just to keep a tad of context, THIS IS WHAT HE SAID...

""We will find the money if there is a need for additional money," House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., told Fox News on Monday. "But those monies are not unlimited, and we have said we have to offset that."

I would say that his ACTUAL words are just a bit different than your presentation, and your "snide" remark aimed at Bachmann should perhaps be researched a bit before you belittle these folks.

If you wish to trade insensitive and dumb remarks, perhaps if you give me a few minutes we might have some of Obama, Biden, and Pelosi....but what would be the point. If your definition of political comentary is this....we are in trouble !

Much of these difficulties, not all, but much because this administration never ASKED for money for FEMA !

Please take into consideration the mismanagement and waste within FEMA. Does anyone remember the fiasco of the "FEMA Traileres" that were to provide housing after Katrina and how after they were paid for, then they were found to be "unfit" for habitation. Beter use of the money could be managed at the local level. No doubt there are many people that need help. The question that is never addressed, what is the best and most efficient way to get the funds to the people who need it most.

I dont doubt that you are correct, but remember that the theme of this thread promulgated was...

"How cold and mean-spirited can they get? Eric Cantor wants to tie any disaster aid to those who suffered damage in Irene to equal spending reductions in other areas.
