There are several groups! Personally, I'm involved with the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). However, there's a group for retired military families, as well as various service-connected groups.

Take a thorough look through a Thursday edition of The Daily Sun's Recreation News to see what's happening!

Welcome to TV and TOTV!

Operation Shoebox is another military club that meets in The Villages at Lake Miona. The clubhouse's rooms are filled with different Operation Shoebox activities. Volunteers get together on Monday afternoon to fill stockings for military members or do other activities mentioned below. You don't have to have been in the military to belong. There are many "jobs" or activities you can contribute your time to, such as knitting caps, sewing bags, sort snacks and food, writing personal notes on Christmas cards, clipping coupons, filling bags, attend fundraiser events, etc. There are many more things that go on here, too much for me to mention. Check it out when you have time. Everyone who participates is made to feel very welcome.
