Had a horrible experience with The Centre company in Belleview.
Wouldn"t recommend them to anyone. Long story. Take my word.

I did my homework! Got raving reviews from previous customers. Countertops are beautiful. The Centre did outstanding work. Work was completed in a timely manner, could not ask for a more professional job. They went over and above my expectations. Most professional and courteous people to work with.

Which of these brand new posters should we follow?

Welcome to you both!!!

Sit down and have some coffee and tell us where you live.

Are you village residents? Where did you come from? Do you like it here?

Gracie Girl, I am an individual homeowner that frequents the villages quite often. They offer so much to the community and I have numerous friends that live there. The Centre installed my countertops. They have a great selection of granite and their prices are the best around. As stated earlier they went over and above my expections as for as service and quality of their work. I am originally from Canada and I love it here!

Thank you Robert. Very glad to meet you and to know of a good granite company.

I would highly recommend all to stay away from All Star Cabinets and Granite in Southern Trace Plaza. The edging on the slab is wavy, not smooth. Their installers do mediocre work and don't leave a finished product. Caulking is sloppy, homeowner has to do final painting. We had a drawer front damaged and it took 15 weeks (that's right, 15 weeks) to finally get the problem resolved. Installers tried to touch up damage and never said anything to us about it. Called the owner and he took damaged panel and tried to repair it, in the end had to order a new panel after numerous calls and visits to the store. In the process he lost the knobs. We replaced the knobs but they're not an exact match. Had the counters sealed with a permanent sealer and they did not buff out product, just hand wiped it, leaving a haze. Lucky for us I have an automotive buffer and was able to compete the job. Can't talk to owner, he never returns calls or keeps follow up appointments concerning complaints; has one of his staff call back a few days later. In a nutshell, look for somebody else.

I agree . Stopped there with a detailed drawing of the counter top I wanted. I talked to woman who said she was the manager. I asked her what they were getting a sq.ft. installed. Her answer was " I don't know. I looked out their front door and asked her, would they know at IHOP across the parking lot. She then asked "What is everyone else getting?" I told her about $29 . She said they could do that. She took my drawing and went to the office and came up with a price. When she gave the price to me, I told her
the price was almost twice the $29 a square foot we were talking about a few minutes ago. Her answer...." Oh! You know how many sqare feet this is?
I then decided I would go someplace else. This was some time ago.
Wildwood Bath did the job and we were happy.

We used them for installing our counter tops. Their price was good. The quality of the workmanship was average. The undermount kitchen sink fell after two days. The installers had used the wrong clamps as all they had were the small ones on the job. Trevor had it fixed the same day I called him.

Based on my experience with a quality installation we had done up north this one was below average. I would not recommend them.

After reading this thread I find it difficult to understand why anyone would buy granite some place other then Duncan Stone. You deal with the owner, Ty Duncan, his prices are competitive, and everyone who has had him do the install has posted positive comments. I am sure there is someone not happy with them, but so far, every post I have seen has been positive. My granite is beautiful, the workmanship excellent, he delivered on time for the quoted price, and he is a TOTV sponsor. Why go anywhere else?

I also had Duncan Stone install granite countertops back in September. Very professional installation. Could not be any more satisfied.

Gotta add my voice to Ty Duncan and his crew. They've done both my kitchen and master bath. The kitchen is gorgeous, but the bath is unbelievably magnificent! He gutted it and redid everything including moving my toilet and reconfiguring the shower. Work was top-notch, on time, and on budget!

Beautiful!:coolsmiley:

Did you go somewhere to pick out this particular slab of granite?

l2ridehd

Yes, Ty Duncan had one slab is his warehouse that we selected and he ordered a second slab from the same lot so they would be very close to the same. By using two slabs, I only have one seam in the entire home.

Had a horrible experience with The Centre company in Belleview.
Wouldn"t recommend them to anyone. Long story. Take my word.

Mr. Rod Lowery from the Centre in Belleview,
came out to our house April 2010, to give us an estimate on doing a brick back patio that was to be built up. Plus a granite kitchen counter top.
We gave him a deposit then paid him by check when the job was completed. It looked OK when it was finished but not very good. There were gaps in the bricks.
After the first month we noticed that sand was coming out of the wall of the deck, we called Mr. Rod Lowery and was told that was "normal" and nothing to worry about.
After 4 months we noticed that the bricks were starting to sink, we call Mr. Lowery every week for 2 months, he sent one of his work men to "fix" the bricks. We left for the summer and when we came back the bricks were sinking again. We called Mr. Lowery every day for 3 weeks then we went to his business, he said he would come out but it was another 3 months before he came over himself to "fix" the bricks. The entire brick deck is sinking.
We contacted another company who looked at the deck and was told that the sand used in building up the deck was the wrong kind and never should have been used.
The bricks are sinking because Mr. Rod Lowery used the wrong material, they are not sinking because of the weather, or age.
We keep calling Mr. Lowery but he just promises to come out again but never does. We are sick of the run around.
Brick decks if built properly are suppose to last the life of the house not a few months.
