Dear Democrats:
I am a Conservative. I know you are out their and you must feel that every Conservative, Tea Party and Republican is a little crazy when you read the posts on this site, but it simply is not true. I get PM's from other conservatives that agree with my less extreme points of view, so have faith, it is not at bad as you might think. Many of us do not vote a straight party ticket and we understand that a moderate leader is the only way to balance anything in our country. No reply is necessary, I know your out there and how you feel. Bye.

Good to know. It is the most strident on both side of the spectrum that are usually the most vocal and I know they don't represent the majority.

Your right and unfortunately it runs folks from both parties away that may otherwise contribute to the conversation.

Aren't you just the nicest fellow. It's good to know we have one peachy person among all the neanderthals who frequent the political discussions.
It's so refreshing to hear from someone who realizes that he's a cut above the rest and has no false shame to keep himself from realizing it.
There's not many like you.

What happened to you Ritchie??? You were always very partisan but never as sarcastic as you have been lately. Don't feel you have to keep up with the villageduffer.

Sometimes I read something that has my eyes rolling out of my head. I can't always help myself.
My anger and/or annoyance usually comes out in sarcasm. My point is taken and I don't have to come right out and bluntly tell you what I'm thinking.

No problem Richie, I get that all the time. I know I am the weird duck in this pond, in that I am about 70 % Republican and 30 % Democrat, so I get beat up from both sides. I agree, that it is more normal to be Hard Right or Hard Left, I just can't seem to fit into that niche. I tell ya this for certain, if you had said it, your sidekick would have agreed with you. lol

I see mockery is still your only recourse. At least sarcasm takes a little more thought.

I'm happy you're taking it like that, because I would have said the same thing the same way right to you face, and with a smile on mine, if we were sitting over a table with a couple of adult beverages in our hands.
Cool.

Sounds great. City Fire (Urban Flats) is where I usually get my "bourbon fix" on occasion. I look just like my picture. I'm the one who's not so furry.

Why pander to those who elected the most extreme marxist president the nation's seen in a long time.....whose party threw overboard Hillary who IS wise enough to come to the center at times....who call anyone who disagrees with Obama a "racist"....and they WILL vote for him again????

Some guy told me when I lived in Des Moines Iowa that the only things you find in the middle are yellow lines and skunks. So his comments stopped our conversation because it was obvious that this guy was so singled minded that any discussion seeking understanding was a dead end.
It is not to stay that any of us should compromise our core beliefs. In fact without those beliefs people would lose their way.
I try and base my opinions on content. As to the Obama's economic policies I base on opinions on their effectiveness and not by idealogy. For example Obama's recent job plan proposal continues to be based on his idealogy..That is take a chunk of money from here andplace it there. Nothing he proposed contributes to the creation of growth or wealth.
What I am saying is that Democrat and Republicn can be misleading labels.

Because they are also the children of GOD and they know not what they do.
Love thy neighbor

But they also have the brains God gave them, to see the quickening process of "Trickle Down Poverty", "Equal Distribution and Re-distribution of Misery", "Class Envy".....racing toward a third-world, poverty-stricken, Castro-Chavez style totalitarian regime.
They haven't seen it yet, because they don't want to. But people who have lived it do, as this writer does:
"I am a first generation born West African-American woman whose parents emigrated to the U.S. in the 1970's from the country now called Nigeria. I travel to Nigeria frequently. I see myself as both a proud American and as a proud Igbo (the tribe that we come from -- also sometimes spelled Ibo). Politically, I have always been conservative (though it took this past election for me to commit to this once and for all!); my conservative values come from my Igbo heritage and my place of birth. Of course, none of this qualifies me to say what I am about to -- but at the same time it does.
My friends, despite what CNN and the rest are telling you, Barack Obama is nothing more than an old school African Colonial who is on his way to turning this country into one of the developing nations that you learn about on the National Geographic Channel. Many conservative (East, West, South, North) African-Americans like myself -- those of us who know our history -- have seen this movie before...."

Right on, except "PRINT a chunk of money from here, and PAY INTEREST on it there" is more like it.
