Someone hit my Dad's Silver Honda in the V.A. parking lot this morning, and then drove off and didn't leave a note. There are dark paint marks near the front right fender, and quite a bit of damage. Did anyone by any chance witness this?

Also, can anyone recommend a good body shop to get this repaired? Thanks!

Executive Auto Body on 441 North of the Villages on the right and just South of Markets of Marion. Good work and reasonable. I now have my second hit and leave. Minor damage, but still damage. I guess people either don't hear it, don't know it, don't see it, are in a real hurry, or just don't care. I just imagine doing that and not letting the people know. I even think mine was a golf cart as it was so low on the body.

An excellent body shop in Leesburg called B & C Body and Paint Shop. Phone is (352)787-3993.

That just stinks when people are so negligent to do such a thing!!!

Today I nearly had an accident down near the Colony Walgreen's!!! I never trust when people are approaching a main road and they have a stop sign-- and lucky for me I feel that way. A woman was quickly coming off 466A and wasn't even slowing down. I did and had to stop otherwise I'd have T-boned her! There was a string of cars behind me so VERY lucky I didn't get rear-ended. I laid on the horn and got a looke from her like---"What???!!!!" She must have been in a hurry for.....you can fill in the blank here! I've seen more than one person blow that stop-sign AND there are a plethora of folks who golf-cart it down there and one day there will be a fatality I think!

To go along with this post---has anyone else seen that there seems to be an increase in traffic and it's going to only get worse as we go into Fall and Winter with the "birds" coming back!!!

I was riding in my golf cart on St Charles approaching the entrance to SH. (travelling toward BVista) There were several cars approaching me from the rear, and I put my indicator on, and stayed in the cart path until the cars accelerated by then slowly merged to the center. I indicated with my arm, as well as the electonic indicator that I would be making a left turn into the parking lot. A white truck, travelling at a tremendous pace, accelerated and roared by me as I merged into the turning lane. I had indicated for a very long time that I intended to turn, and the truck was no-where near close as I merged. He literally drove into the oncoming lane, in order to overtake me. As our dear friend was killed in that same area, I drive with great caution, and would not have casually pulled into the middle of the road without looking. The truck driver simply did not want to wait behind a pokey cart being driven by a little old white haired lady.

Tracy.... any chance the VA has cameras in the parking lot and are willing to backtrack and figure out who dun it?

Sorry for the trouble these inconsiderate folks are putting you through. Very unVillages like.

Last week I was also hit by a car in a hit and run in Billy's Cafe. No note or anything. People don't care. I have a deductable to pay, lost work time etc... so this can be fixed. But, I believe in karma...

One thing I have noticed quite often is some golf cart drivers fail to turn off their turn lights after making their turn.
I have seen it so often and rather than think the next one I see is really going to turn, I just stay
behind and let those behind me honk their horns!!:gc:
