Does anyone know the ruling on having a Pod delivered in my driveway? Am I allowed to have it there, and, if so, for how long?

Make your range limits arrangements to un load it and get 'er done.
I think you could push a week but if there is no need then do it now.

The deed compliance process is long and involved. The first step is a response to a complaint of non-compliance. If someone from deed compliance shows up an answer of we will have it removed in 72 hours will produce a thank you from the deed compliance person. It will take months for them to schedule a public hearing on non compliance. It is not like a traffic ticket they can't just come by and give you a ticket for having a pod in your driveway.
If you have an issue unloading it don't worry. Be happy that you are a villager.

I have a similar question. We are expecting the moving van with our possesions to arrive at our home in the next few weeks (our stuff is coming from out of the country so it is coming in a container on a ship and has to go through U.S. customs, etc.--the delay is driving us crazy!). It will be a very large moving truck and certainly won't fit in our driveway, so they will need to park it on the street. The moving contract calls for them to unload, unpack, and haul away all the boxes/packing materials. It should not take more than a day.
I don't want to inconvenience my neighbors, but I am somewhat concerned that such a large truck might need to be in front of our house as well as in front of a neighbor's house. Will this be a problem?

I have seen Moving Van's 53 FT trailers here in St James unloading for most of a day and it did not present an issue. I would think they can position so people can get out and or around. Good Luck in your move.

The problem someone will have is that these super large moving trucks often come with an expanded sleeping cab plus 50 foot trailers and if you live on a street that ends in a cul-de-sac....the truck will most likely be unable to make it around the circle with out causing substantial damage to the plant beds and curbing. Now Village Watch may come by or a neighbor may even call them to observe the truck. Village watch will tell the driver their job is to make sure they do not cause any property damage to a residents property or CDD property that being the cul-de-sac circle and plant beds. It may be one day of inconvience for some especially if the driveways are close together but in all liklelihood it wil not take more than one day. If this were the case I would simply alert your neighbors as to what was going to be happening and they should plan accordingly (ie have the car or golf cart accesible)

Years ago, when I moved here, I was also concerned about the moving van blocking the street for some time.
I visited my neighbors who would probably be most impacted were a van to block their driveway! They noted my concerns and moved their golf cart so that they'd have absolutely no problems!
The movers acknowledged that they couldn't maneuver the cul-de-sac-island! So, they backed down the street; they adjusted their trailer/tractor so that they couldn't possibly exit the area as I had suggested that they do!
Fortunately, there was an option for them and they headed south to the Miami-Dade area just as soon as they'd unloaded!
I felt that the mover guys were professionals who knew one h*** of a lot more about maneuvering their over-sized vehicle anywhere than I did!
At any rate, you know that those of us who now live here have endured any number of "issues!"
