Newest "Villagers" just for the night!

We just signed our contract tonight at 6pm and were told that we hold the title of the newest villagers until tomorrow mornig when the next contract is signed! Very exciting for us! After months of agonizing on whether to leave NY and and our grandkids to become Villagers we finally arrived on Saturday. We will be building a Lantana in Sanibel on Beville Place and are really looking forward to meeting all our new neighbors. We are coming down October 28th- My birthday. Moved up our build date a few months early.

Meeting with the " Design Team!" signing the contract on the 29th for a new Lilac build in Tamarind.

Does your name go on "the board" at contract or closing? We're right behind you! Exciting! You can always go visit the snow and let them visit you in the sunshine!

Someone asked about the board - I haven't seen the one at LSL but used to always pick up and drop our our ID's at the Sales Office in Spanish Springs (where they process the resident IDs) and see it there - they put your name and hometown, or at least where you are moving from. Interesting to see - I remember one time it was mostly all from other Florida locations.

When we first bought over 5 years ago, I think they published names of new owners in the paper or some kind of newsletter. Hope they still have the new resident breakfast (I think it might be monthly or semi-monthly)? Wish there had been a 2nd one for those of us who were snowflakes or landlords and then became residents.

Located in the lobby of the lake sumter sales office. Your name and home state are listed the day you close. There are so many sales it changes every three days. Go over and take your picture next to it.

Thanks to all of you for making us feel that we truly did make the right decision. Jim just came in from walking the dog and someone stopped and invited us to the monthly neighborhood dinner this coming week. Imagine that-and we are only renting until our house is done- how great is that!!!:laugh:

Thanks for the tip about the names on the sales board. We went over to LSL and sure enough our names were on the board the day after we signed the contract and YES we had someone take our picture!!!:a040:
