We bought a home in Tamarind Grove but will be renting it most of the time as I have several years before retiring. I've been looking for either a lease/contract form valid in Florida or a good source for one. I'm in IL and will be handling everything by mail with a homewatch service to meet and greet. Also is one of the local rental listing services better? I already have a tenant for Jan-Mar but would like to get it listed for Nov-Dec and the balance of 2012.

Thanks,
Chuck

When I was looking for one on the internet, I googled "Florida Residential Lease Agreement" and chose one produced by www.ilrg.com/forms

It cost $9.99 to download it instantly. But it was very complete and there was room to write in special provisions that pertained to our property.

Hi Chuck,
Welcome to the Villages. I have had rental property for several years and use a generic lease agreement from Office Depot. As far as listing the property, I use a Villagers web site, thevillages4rent.com. There is no management fees involved since you deal directly with the tennants yourself. I did it for several years from out of state until we moved here last year. Hope this helps.
