Fall is already starting here, there are leaves all over the patio, all of the stores are selling 'hardy mums'...and holloween decorations are everywhere...help!!! In some ways, I almost wish I had never visited..it's so much harder facing winter now. Keep your fingers crossed! We haven't had anyone call about the house yet but I am holding it open this Sunday. Heck, I'll even bake cookies! I'm really thankful for TOTV...you really help keep my spirits up. Thanks to all of you!!

You are right about the seasons. I have even seen Christmas decorations in the stores. We bought a home in Buttonwood last December and it is just waiting for me to be able to retire. Anyway, good luck on Sunday. Fingers, toes and legs crossed for you. :pepper2::pepper2:

We looked at The Villages about 8/9 years ago and it's been hard ever since. NOW that we are so close....It's worse... I fell like a kid at Christmas.... waiting.... waiting.... waiting....
Visions of golf carts dancing in my head.....

Trish.
When someone posts such positive and warm and thought out posts as you do, it naturally makes all of us feel warm back. Although I have never set eyes on you, I know that I will want to see you again and again and be your friend and we villagers who "know" you through your words can't wait to know you really.
Feel this hug.
Every good wish for your open house.
Hurry home.

No truer words were ever spoken. I feel your pain.
I have someone coming to look at my home today so I am still hoping for the best. The plan is to be in TV before the winter hits. The thought of another winter is something I don't want to have to deal with.
TOTV is the only thing that is keeping me from losing it.
Best Wishes on your open house and it only takes one!!!!!!!!

Trish,
We can SO relate! We are outside of Buffalo, and lately I've needed to mow with gloves on, etc....
The leaves are starting to fall and summer IS over here. Our RE agent called us and we have another couple looking at our home tonight. Hopefully an offer comes soon and we can be down there full time.
My wife has informed me that even if the house does not sell I am grouping my 2012 vacations and we WILL spend Jan-March at our Florida home....so either way I'll get to meet many of you soon.
Life is too short to live where you do not want to live.....

Hang in there, it'll happen for you! We waited 6 years before we could finally come down and it's all been worth it. OOPPSS gotta go to hula dance class. Aloha!

Best of luck in selling your house, Trish! One trick for open houses and showings is to buy the pre-made cookie dough cut into squares already, and just bake a half dozen right before they arrive - leave them on a plate in the kitchen. May all the rest of your winters be in Florida!
