1-Lose the "my way or the hiway" approach...Majority rule is the foundation of this country and negotiation is key
2-Take a Moderate approach to government and lose the extremism
3- Loudly reproach members that are obviously racially motivated
3-stop pandering to corp america
4-Adopt an understanding that Education is not a bad thing
5-cut back on the hate filled rhetoric
6-Lose the One term at any cost" and truly work to make things better for the middle class
7-reach out to those American Citizens less fortunate that themselves..A helping hand is an investment
This is only a few and I think most are jointly agreeable..We'll see..Moderation/negotian is key....

ASSUMING that the Tea Party does/doesn't already do the things that you ASSUME about them...I would agree. But since you are IN FACT slandering alot of good, hard working, compassionate, generous, fellow Americans, your question/opinion has lost ALL validity.

[QOUTE]1-Lose the "my way or the hiway" approach...Majority rule is the foundation of this country and negotiation is key[/QUOTE]
That statement is not quite true. The United States is actually a "Representative Republic" which does not always make the Majority rule right, but there also need to be a little more negotiation.
Some folks really need to get a copy of the United States Constitution and read it.

I love the assumption made that any tea party supporter, or republican or anybody else with an opposing viewpoint....do not subscribe to what is on the initial post's thread. Constant, ambiguous, oblique verbiage categorizing negatively any non follower to accomplish an assigned end.
Sorta like a merry-go-round...very predictable what will show up next....eh?

The irony of this thread that it begins with a unrecognized bigotry and anger toward people to whom the author is accusing of possessing. My guess is it will continue to be unrecognized.

The ******* should keep on doing what they're doing. Don't change a thing.
Obama leads every R-candidate. With each passing day, more people see how extreme the ******* are. Although, Obama may not be their POTUS of choice, he is more moderate than any R (*********) candidate.
By the way, the ******-influenced Congress has an approval rating of 13.5% - the lowest EVER recorded. They beat last month's approval rating of 15%.

********* is a derogatory expression usually with references to homosexuals.
I suggest that people who constantly use that term have case of Homophobia, or maybe they are still in the closet. MSNBC has been called out on that and I don't even think they use that expression anymore.
Anyways, I find it rather humorous that leftists call anybody who disagrees with them as racists and yet use a juvenile expression to a particular party or belief.

Well said and 100% correct. When Obama wins again, I for one will put the blame squarely on the extremists from the conservative and tea *******. Both parties could win themselves if they would stop with the extremism.

A derogatory term, used mostly by the far left "fringe," to describe a group of American people who assemble peacefully to protest out of control government spending. The term "tea ******" is used to mock these people because the group associates their cause with the original Boston Tea Party which was instrumental in starting the first American Revolution. The movement, which refer to themselves as "Tea Party Patriots," consists of Republicans, Democrats, and Independent voters who are taking a stance against not only out of control government spending, but against the "Europeanization" of America.
We could do this all day.

It does what they want: to stifle intelligent conversation. Just like when they use the word "racist" to them it is a code for conservative white man. They know that conservatives are decent people who abhor real racism and are usually horrified to be called one. Liberals know this so they shout you down with that word. Problem is that the Tea Party is not listening to that anymore because it has been said so many time that we are desensitized.
It will take more then name-calling to keep the Republicans out of the White House in 2012. Money usually talks and BS usually walks. Obama will be walking out of the White House for good in January 2013 and then this great country can heal.

I don't know if there is enough time for impeachment procedures before his last walk. But it will be a glorious day, and then this country can and will heal.

The way it sounds in here, a few of our esteemed members would like to see him leave in a hearse. Now matter how much I or you dislike Obamas fiscal policies, he has done wonderful things for lots of people in this country. Is their at least one minority on here that would like to say something bad about our president. That would help with to dispel the rich white republican being a racist theory. I am well off, white and a republican and I am offended by the remark that because of my status I am a code word for racist.

I am amazed at the ability to tee up a subject with a totally off the wall accusation....paraphrasing>>>I believe some would like to see him leave in a hearse.
That was not intimated or insinuated or even hinted at. I guess if that is what you believe it gives you license to accuse others of such a thought....even though you are 100% out in LEFT (pun intended) field.
To my earlier posts....totally unable to carry on a discussion without a derogatory reference....EVER.

To the poster of this comment.
Don't be surprised if you get a visit from the Secret Service. Making threats against the President is a Federal Offense. Whether you like or dislike our current President, he is still the President until otherwise lawfully removed from office and the office should be respected even if you don't respect the man holding that office.
I also notice that the comment was removed. But not until some one had the presence of mind to quote it.
Respect the office, making stupid remarks like the above shows that you have little or no respect for anything or anyone. :spoken:

Villager II Find just one article written by Thomas Sowell that isn't spot on about who Obama is or is not. Thomas Sowell obviously is not a racist and as a top notch economist certainly has the knowledge and experience to know what he is talking about and he begged his readers not to vote for Obama.

Let me be clear, I totally disagree with the way Washington is spending tax dollars both under Bush and Obama. That must change and fast. I know I defend some of the liberal issues like Abortion and religion. Neither one of them have anything to do with how the government should determine regulation and policy for the United States. But again, we must collectively stop the ridiculous spending by Washington.

I am no a leftist as intimated or insinuated or even hinted at. Maybe I did exaggerate a might, but can you not see the total hatred for the man by a few in this site. I want his money spending policies stopped NOW, but I also believe he has done some good things for the country in the last few years. Do you not see one single thing he has done as OK if not great.

One can hate the policies and not the man. I hate Obama's policies as much as I hated Carter's policies. I do not know Obama personally, so how the heck could I hate him?And about your cute little nicknames?
Please, stop making everything personal and just talk about the candidates and their policies. OK? Thank you for reading my post. Nothing personal.:0000000000luvmyhors

I've been seriously trying to ignore your ignorant rantings but sometimes it's just a bit much.
How about you try and stop spouting all the hate and vile nonsense you dish up and then have the gall to call "reasonable". There is more malignant misinformation in one of your posts than in all posts of any other I could name. A classic case of one who lives in a glass house, throwing stones.

Tea Party Patriots Mission Statement and Core Values
Mission Statement The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
Core Values
Fiscal Responsibility
Constitutionally Limited Government
Free Markets
Fiscal Responsibility: Fiscal Responsibility by government honors and respects the freedom of the individual to spend the money that is the fruit of their own labor. A constitutionally limited government, designed to protect the blessings of liberty, must be fiscally responsible or it must subject its citizenry to high levels of taxation that unjustly restrict the liberty our Constitution was designed to protect. Such runaway deficit spending as we now see in Washington D.C. compels us to take action as the increasing national debt is a grave threat to our national sovereignty and the personal and economic liberty of future generations.
Constitutionally Limited Government: We, the members of The Tea Party Patriots, are inspired by our founding documents and regard the Constitution of the United States to be the supreme law of the land. We believe that it is possible to know the original intent of the government our founders set forth, and stand in support of that intent. Like the founders, we support states' rights for those powers not expressly stated in the Constitution. As the government is of the people, by the people and for the people, in all other matters we support the personal liberty of the individual, within the rule of law.
Free Markets: A free market is the economic consequence of personal liberty. The founders believed that personal and economic freedom were indivisible, as do we. Our current government's interference distorts the free market and inhibits the pursuit of individual and economic liberty. Therefore, we support a return to the free market principles on which this nation was founded and oppose government intervention into the operations of private business.
Our Philosophy Tea Party Patriots, Inc. as an organization believes in the Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Markets. Tea Party Patriots, Inc. is a non-partisan grassroots organization of individuals united by our core values derived from the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill Of Rights as explained in the Federalist Papers. We recognize and support the strength of grassroots organization powered by activism and civic responsibility at a local level. We hold that the United States is a republic conceived by its architects as a nation whose people were granted "unalienable rights" by our Creator. Chiefly among these are the rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The Tea Party Patriots stand with our founders, as heirs to the republic, to claim our rights and duties which preserve their legacy and our own. We hold, as did the founders, that there exists an inherent benefit to our country when private property and prosperity are secured by natural law and the rights of the individual. As an organization we do not take stances on social issues. We urge members to engage fully on the social issues they consider important and aligned with their beliefs.

Your post shows a Tea Party that's all about fiscal responsibility, limited government as constitutionally provided, free market economics and primacy of the individual endowed with inherent natural rights.

Thanks, but it is only going to get worse. I am the administrator of CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and General & Vascular Ultrasound departments in a university health care facility that was recently recognized as #1 in the Region by US NEWS and WORLD Report. But once Obamacare hits full force, we will all be in lines and people will die needlessly of diseases that can currently be cured quickly.

Wow, is that true? Is Obamacare even worse then I suspected? We should organize and get the votes out to remove Obama from office. We desperately need to get a republican into the white house. Our future and our grandchildren's future depends on it.

Lie #1-"If you like your health care insurance that you have now, you can keep it!" Hmmm....Several years ago I wrote the checks for the employee premiums that the company was paying. A family of 4 had a premium of $2,200 (not counting dental and vision) Obamacare will be charging a fine of approx $950.00 to any company that does not provide insurance to the employee. So, hey you can keep that wonderful insurance IF your employer doesn't decide to take advantage of the $1250 savings they can have by dropping your insurance.
NOW ADD- So your employer has dropped your insurance and you GET the Federal provision. Historically, Medicare has continued to slash reimbursement. Private insurance reimbursement is the revenue maker for any medical facility. As private insurances become a thing of the past...I am sure that you can put 2 and 2 together.
Just the tip of the iceberg...

It sounds responsible, but the rhetoric is the often offensive part. Are there Tea Party positions on foreign policy, energy, rebuilding our roads, rail, bridges? What about our involvement in the Middle East?
I know Tea Party supporters who are racist. One comes to mind right now. Most aren't. When the flames are fueled by this kind dialogue....
We need to return to a sense of civility in public discourse of issues.
Congrats on the upcoming anniversary.

I was at the grassroots of the Tea Party in New England. I have never met anyone who was even close to being a racist. You say one comes to mind. Well, is that a consensus? The Tea Party wants our fiscal house in order before we can commit to socially irresponsible money spending , like the Stimulus bill that cost taxpayers one trillion dollars and produced zero jobs.
I am sick and tired of you democrats trying to paint decent americans in such a terrible light. You should be ashamed of yourself.
