Do you like your Curtis Cab

I has a salesman suggest that I should think twice about a Curtis Cab. Does anyone who has one wish they hadn't spent the money??

I have a Curtis cab on my club car. The only complaint I have is there are small openings above the front windshield and at the bottom of the doors. When it is cold in the winter a portable heater is recommended. However that is the only complaint I have. When it rains I stay dry and certainly its easier to close the doors versus buttoning up side curtains. I would recommend the Curtis cab.

I have had a Curtis Cab on my Yamaha for about 18 months and love it. Have had no problems and feel it was well worth the extra $$$ for the enclosure.

When I first got the cart I also had an issue with air coming in on both front corners where the windshield meets the frame but brought the cart back and the dealer installed some extra insulation. Problem solved.

you might whack your knees a couple of times getting out of cart!....I've been a rider and unless you are use to small opening it could be "hazardous to your health" :cus:...But I'm sure during inclement weather they are great!

If you buy your cart from Carts and Clubs in Ocala he installs a sealed windshield on all of his carts so no problem there. We have a Curtis Cab and it is a great investment.

Is it too warm in the Curtis cart in the summer months vs. a regular golf cart?

Did you look at the MEE cabs? They are lighter than Curtis cabs, give you more vision and larger opening to get out. TV golfcart store is not a "fan" of any hard cabs. I do not have either, but looking at a hard cab for a future cart.

We have a curtis cab on a Precedent Club Car and have never regretted the purchase.

Main benefit - quick and easy to protect yourself from the elements. (If some sprinklers are running and trying to make the road green you can close your door for a short distance and then open it again - and be on your way.)

We wanted the Curtis Cab on our new Yamaha, just purchased this week, but a trial run in and out of our garage convinced us NOT to go that route. We have the smaller car and cart garage, typical on most villas. We found that with our car parked in the garage we would have to close the cart doors every time we drove in. The clearance on both sides was just too little to allow us to come in and out with the doors open. So, my advice to anyone who has this smaller garage and wants the Curtis Cab, check before you buy. WE felt that closing the doors everytime we came home was just too much of an inconvenience. Besides, I'm not sure that we could have opened the driver door once we got the cart in! The next best alternative was to go to Carts and Clubs in Ocala and buy one of their super well-sealed Yamahas. Their attention to detail, especially when it comes to air leakage, is superior.

A couple of my neighbors have even gone to Home Depot or ACE Hardware and bought insulation and plugged those gaps themselves.

I have purchased a Yamaha with a Curtis Cab from Carts and Clubs. I have been very impressed with the dealer and the little extras they put into their cart build. Just the glove box applique they use is far superior to the one the Villages uses.

We love our curtis cab as with all the on and off rain we can close the doors on the fly. Still plenty of air with the doors open good al year round
