When it came time to tell our kids about the birds and bees, I felt it was my responsibility to give them each the scoop prior to the big news flash in school. Being a medically oriented person, I told the facts using the correct names of each anatomical part involved. Several months later our daughter Kim came home to tell me that they learned about where babies came from. Searching to boost my ego, I asked her how the two different renditions compared. She politely told me that both were about the same except the teacher had not included "all the funky car names". Confused, I asked if were talking about the same subject and she reassured me that we were. So I asked what funky cars had to do with it. She replied, "you know Mom, the ones you told me about...like the Uterus and the Ovary."

This is a similar, true story. I have a nephew who is in his 30's now, and served in Afghanistan, works for the Senate Armed Services Committee - but when he was very small, his Mom told him about the facts of life, using all the correct terms.
She also told him that sometimes people use those terms to call other people names when they are angry. Soon after, he did something bad, and she sent him to his room. He stomped to the doorway of his room, and yelled, "I'm really mad at you - - you - - you Uterus!!"
She just started laughing and gave him a big hug, and recommended that he wait till he's a little older to try to call people names like that.
