Republican presidential candidate, and Tea Party supporter, Herman Cain responded to the charges made by actor Morgan Freeman that the Tea Party is racist.

Calling it "sad" that Mr. Freeman would do this as he doubts Freeman has ever been to a Tea Party event.

I don't know what the race baiting liberals will do with this. We have some on this forum, so maybe we'll get a clue.

I've attended a TEA Party rally. Of the hundreds of signs people carried I saw none that were racist in tone, and none of the ones showing disgust with Obama were threatening nor racist. Many signs and slogans did accuse Obama of having a marxist, socialist, or totalitarian agenda, but that is not "racist".

And THANK GOD we have the freedom to express such disgust and opposition toward the president!!! In Cuba, you'd be imprisoned for carrying signs like this!

Of all the signs and slogans in these two clips, how many are racists in tone? Of course all are not shown, but surely with the number that appear in these clips, some would show up if they were there:

The tea party and racism connection is a current administration partisan talking point. Hence we will see the two terms always in the same sentence.

Gives those making the comment a degree of comfort...until asked to present a basis for the comment....itsa partisan talking point.

I think it is a shame that the mainstream media continues to paint the Tea Party people in such disgusting brushes. :ohdear:
How do they explain all of the people of African descent who are Tea Party-ers and who call themselves Americans...not African Americans. They will be heard at the voting booths and that is truly all that matters. More power to them!

Desperate scoundrel's attempt to make people forget that this current president is a disaster. Please get the vote out and remove this administration so we can attempt to heal this once great nation.

To steal a line from donald Trump's response to Bobby diNaro

"Morgan Freeman is a good actor but he isn't very smart."

I believe this faux-race issue has been so over used and over-stated that the majority of the population are now seeing right through it
