View Full Version : The Red Barron

I saw the Red Barron taxiing down Bailey Trail again today and again he was passing someone and backing up traffic with his 3 foot wings. This time his jet engines had red lights in them. He needs to lose his pilot's license.
See, I learned my lesson and didn't call him an idiot this time.

"Stupid is as stupid does" Sorry, couldn't help myself. You have me thinking of Forrest Gump quotes.:undecided:

Yeah I do but I'm not about to make a bad situation worse by fumbling for my cell phone camera while driving down the road. You wouldn't want me to get into an accident over this gentleman now would you?
I do think his head must be in the clouds or is it the other way around?

If it's the same Gentleman, I've seen him parked at Cane Garden with his flaps down. Guess he likes to "fly" down Bailey Trail.

I don't care if he is a nice guy. His "plane" is a road hazard & he should be reported to the Sheriff's office. What arrogance! :cus:
If the vehicle is registered, as long as it's width does not exceed 8.5 feet, it's legal.

I didn't notice if it had a plate on it because of how distracting the rest of the monstrosity is. No matter, it should not be in the cart lane or on the road because of the way he passes other carts IMO. If anyone knows this nut they should tell him to park it. It's gone past funny and is now extremely dangerous to me.

Haven't seen this yet...but the picture comes to my mind of 'Fred Flintstone'. I LOVE the idea of golfcarts to travel in but sometimes some of the customized ones just seem a little bit goofy to me.

Just curious George, Why would you ask the moderator to close your previous thread about the Red Baron and open another one later?
Sooner or later he'll be pulled over by the police and checked out. They'll know what to do.

Like I said before, you are surrounded by them. Now what did I do with that MH number?

A golf cart (customised or otherwise) is not a toy, and should not be used as such in a public area. If he does cause an accident there won't be much laughing then
Surely very short, stubby wings would be just as "amusing" without putting other people's well-being at risk?
If someone does know him, please suggest he make his vehicle a little safer.

You could reinforce the grill on your cart and clip his wing the next time you meet him on the path.

Yea, he thinks I'm dangerous because I use my vehicle to transport my 5 gallon gas can from the gas station to my home. He is glad that I live south of 466 so I assume he lives north of 466. I told him he should get over his phobia because he is surrounded by people who have gas cans. Heck, over the last 40 years I have had gas cans and my neighbors had gas cans. Once I lived next door to a landscaper. You should have seen how many gas cans he had in his garage.
I guess we'll have to live with it until they invent the solar weed whacker and solar lawn mower?
