I am still stuck up here in Toledo, so once a day I check the weather report for The Villages. For the last week the weather report says that it is pouring rain but the LSL web cam shows bright sunshine!

That's funny! I check it every day also...and my husband has it programmed on his Droid. Can't wait until I'm living in TV and checking the weather up north. :)

That's exactly what we do down here...I'm always checking the weather in Buffalo! (and then I shake my head and say "Thank God I'm down here!"

It's been a beautiful week. It was a little cloudy earlier this morning but now the sun is shining and it's about 86-87 degrees with low humidity. It's going to start cooling off...especially in the evenings (lows in the 60's).

Truthfully, I'm looking forward to turning the air off and opening the windows again. Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks, I'll be able to do that.

Hang in there...we'll be here...waiting for you to come down!:)

It can be raining in one square and not in another. It can be raining in one Village and not another. The weather that you're following could also be for Lady Lake...and it could be raining at the particular reporting station.

I watch the cams and one day this week, we got home from Spanish Springs and I pulled up the cam for that town center and it was POURING! Wasn't raining at LSL...and then about 10 minutes later, it was pouring there...and then I knew it would be at my house very shortly. I live fairly close to LSL.

It's amazing where rain does and doesn't fall around here... ;)

That's the bubble that covers TV when we've had enough rain!

I happened to fly into Orlando yesterday (Monday) afternoon, having visited St. Louis for a long weekend.

I always try to get a window seat on the right side so that I might get a chance to see The Villages (I've picked out Morse Blvd crossing Lake Sumter many times).

There were small storms all over the area. I am pretty certain that I saw Lake Weir in full sunshine. But seconds later, I couldn't even see the ground.

The pilot announced a couple of times that there'd be rain. Didn't see a drop until I was driving back up the Turnpike, somewhere near the nearly-completed Clermont intersection!

Weather here strikes me as many times more unpredictable than almost anywhere else. Especially when seabreezes and such anomalies dominate!

Unlike when we lived up north where a rainstorm would last all day, in central FL it often lasts less than an hour. A "big rainstorm" down here is one that lasts an hour or two.

Good to here....its been so dreary, wet, hot, humid, cold, humid and dreary and wet up here in MD for so long that I think there may be mold growing on me.....and it doesn't help my joints any either. Oh and though the mold growing on me may be a slight exaggeration the size of the mushroom growing in my neighbors yard is not......at least 8 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter.

We have been suffering also here in Maryland, but it only makes our move to TV sweeter. Hope you get out soon also.

This thread reminds me of the time I called my son who had just moved to Florida. He knew it was snowing in the northeast and he answered the phone saying, "welcome to paradise".

I found it scarily interesting last year when driving on the Florida turnpike that it rained heavily, (couldn't see more than ten feet in front of me), for a short period of time and then cleared up immediately. This happened twice in the same trip after a couple of more miles.

I can't wait to experince TV weather first hand. :)
