Anyone who thinks a dog does not remember or does not feel guilt has not lived with a dog!
Just look at the expressions on the faces of these three dogs when they are asked the same question at the same time.... same tone of voice.

Our pets are almost human, aren't they? Don't you feel sorry for the dear little guilty one?

I don't think it's guilt --I think it's fear of displeasing the hand that feeds it.

Loved it and can relate. How many of us have seen our dogs lower their head, drop their ears and walk tentatively when they know they've done something wrong and are going to get scolded?

I have one that runs to the kennel when he does something wrong! Figures he's getting a time out anyway!

Gail, that is sooo funny!!! Thanks for posting it! It's really hard to get a cat to look guilty.

I currently don't have a dog but would love one. It just would not be fair to the dear doggy to have one. I am going for too many extended hours right now. I am currently owned by 3 cats and I do love every hair on their little fur heads.
Some day I will have a dog, just not right now. Hopefully, I can get one when I move to the Villages some time in the not so near future. Sigh.
