The Koch brothers, who are everywhere in supporting and financing Republican causes appear to be real upstanding US citizens, allegedly making tons of money selling petrochemical equipment to Iran despite a US ban of such sales. So much for their patriotism.
In the words of one of the righties that post here--- SHAMEFUL!!!! :cus:

For every Koch, there's a George Soros.......
"George Soros, Britain’s Drug Kingpin Waging War Against the Americas"
"......Ballot Initiatives
Both through his organizations and individually, Soros has been the leading funder, and sometimes the only funder (!), of the dozens of ballot referenda in the United States over the past 15 years, all aimed at le- galizing narcotic drugs. Rather than reflecting the “will of the people,” these initiatives reflect the pas- sion of Soros and his crowd of drug legalizers to pro- mote drug use. Soros is said to have spent $30 million on drug initiatives between 1993 and 1999, according to a 1999 report, “The Long Strange Trip of George Soros,” published in The Nation. But that is merely the tip of the iceberg. Some examples of his “work” follow:.."

George Soros says he has no guilt about collaborating with Nazi during World War II.
He donated 100 Million to "Human Rights Watch" Every Jewish community has condemned Human Rights Watch because of it's anti Israel stance.

If this story is pans out and The Koch Bros. did indeed break the law, they should be prosecuted. This is one time the story you presented is not a trivial matter. This is federal law.
One thing I know, unlike stories reporting a liberal's transgressions, this story won't be buried. We'll know soon enough what happens here.

and just what makes ANYBODY think the wrong doing has ANYTHING to do with whether there is an R or D behind a politicians name. If it is a politician, any flavor, they will do what ever they need to do for their supporters, special interest groups or lobbyists....legal or other wise. They AL, any flavor, watch each others back, and will not call out one or the other, so as not to create an instance where another would come back and find them out.
First clue...they are a politician....any flavor. Second clue, they are mostly lawyers who know exactly how far out to go on the thin ice and are experts at either using the letter of the law or hiding behind the letter of the law when it is to one's advantage or not.
BUSINESS AS USUAL IN WASHINGTON.
The partisan harping is a distraction and joke at best. We the prople get what we deserve.

Umm.. I would HIGHLY discount ANYTHING that comes from the LaRouche cult.
Yes, I called it a cult. I was there. I was in it back in 1979. They have not changed their ways in the meantime. remember that Lyndon LaRouche has served time in federal prison for fraud - and continued to run his political organization from behind bars.

The truth has a way of coming out; we only have to accept it. I'm not sure what "hope" you have because I've agreed this is a big story. I hope you don't expect me to be wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt anytime soon

Wow, Richie going to the dark side? What next, we find out he is a RINO? Will whining be next? Will he be looking under every rock, behind every bush for a racist? Rich, will we have to do intervention? Will we have to perform an exorcism to drive out the evil liberal spirits?
Please Rich, don't go over the line. Please?:)

No fear. All I did was agree that if this story of dealings with Iran by the Koch Brothers is as true as has been depicted by the media, that it indeed is a serious story.
It doesn't affect the coming elections one way or another, though. The libs may make noise about Republican candidates who've received donations from them to give it back in the name of morality, but that's about it.
Unless, that is, they find a politician under one of the rocks they dig up who is implicated in "smoothing the way" for these dealings. That could be embarrassing, but it still doesn't change the elections strategies.
Like I said previously; since this story revolves around Republicans the media is going to investigate it. If it was George Soros, as you pointed out earlier, doing this it would be buried and lost pretty quickly.

Yea, the media is doing it's best to suppress the Fast and Furious scandal that should bring Obama down.

Keep focused on the Koch Brothers. This could turn into the Republican's Iran-Contra situation all over again. That just about brought down Ronnie Reagan, didn't it? Where will the mud and slime lead to and to which politician's pocket?
At least with Iran-Contra, we all got to know about Ollie North and Fawn Hall.

Ever notice how the men come out smelling like roses and the women endlessly carry the disgrace and usually fade away.
Ollie North's career is bigger than ever and Bill Clinton is on top of the world. Can't say as much for Ms. Hall or Ms. Lewinsky. Kind of curious.

I have to say that I do enjoy reading Ollie North's column in the Daily Sun. He is a conservative but writes a good column.
Bill Clinton might (was) have been a personal sleaze but he was an excellent President. He is making more money now and enjoying life more now as a former President.
I did find a little info on Fawn Hall. I don't think she and Ollie were ever linked together like Bill and Monica. She was just a very good looking lady and a loyal employee. Last thing I could find about her was she was working in a book store in California and had done rehab for cocaine addiction in the 1990's.

Actually the stink from this White House occupier is twofold. He has the Solar Panel $700 million scandal and The Fast and Furious scandal. Maybe Obama will have to step down in disgrace and it will be between Biden and Romney.
