A-1 Transporation

This is just a caution for folks who consider using A-1 Transportation for travel to or from the airport. A few weeks ago I called and spoke to Adam, the owner. We needed transport (four of us) to and from MCO. We were going to Rome and returning two weeks later connecting through JFK. Our arrival time was 12Midnight. I was very clear on our departure and arrival times and went over it a few times with Adam. He was clear that he understood and said there would be a driver waiting for us in Baggage holding a name sign

Long story short; no driver waiting for us holding a sign. We called and got his voice mail. Then my husband noticed a voice mail had come in when we were on route. The message from Adam said to call and confirm.

Adam finally called as our baggage was coming off the turn style. He said that where he didn't hear from us, he thought it was cancelled. I reiterated to him that we went over this. He said he didn't know we were in Europe!

So we had to take a taxi home at a cost twice the amount of the A-1 car. When we got home around 2Am, there was a message on my home voice mail that came in at 1:30PM the day of our arrival asking if we still needed him. At 1:30PM we were on a flight home!

So, I caution anyone to keep this in mind if you book with A-1 - obviously, they are not detailed oriented.
