I was reading on Foxnews.com that the dems have come up with a new plan to by pass the super committee.
They will rase 600 billion from raising taxes then they will cut 400 billion from Medicare and then best of all they will RAISE 300 billion by SPENDING the money on stimulus!!!
OK
Raise taxes, no supprise here. Even if the dems wanted to cut taxes they would start by raising them.
They will cut 400 billion from medicare, Really?? Is this the same Medicare that will have 500 billion cut from it to pay for healthcare? No wait, they dropped that part so now they can use that to cut the deficit. No wait I thought only the mean right wing wanted to take medicare away from the elderly, but how will we pay for healthcare without taking it from medicare?
So I guess that they are planning on cutting medicare by 900 billion.
Notice both of those cuts are from the dems not the repubs!
And then the best for last. WE WILL SAVE 300 BILLION BY SPENDING 300 BILLION ON STIMULUS. WOW! I did not know I could make so much money by spending it all. I have got to try this. It sounds like it would work. They wouldn't tell us it would if it doesn't, WOULD THEY?
Wow! they must think we are as stupid as they come.
We need Hope and Change more than ever but not from this group of losers.

That is really some logic. I am going to go buy two new cars, three more houses and anything else that I can think of. Then I will have more money than I know what to do with. I like that reasoning.

jflynn1, don't you wish that were true but rather this is reported from what the dems said themselves in there big meeting today.
I guess we should just pass whatever they want so we can SEE WHAT IS IN THE BILL!
I would bet all pain and no gain!
I do believe this was reported on left wing or should I say main stream news networks also.

Did you see a story elsewhere that contradicts this story, or do you have an opinion on this story; or are you just being disagreeable for no reason?

Downright amazing that Fox Noise is the only station is right and NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, and all the others are "lamestream media" who speak only lies.
How about the reverse that ONLY Fox Noise is the bunch of coconuts in search of a tree?:jester:
Yep, that is it 100%.

Tit for a tat loses one's credibility, of course credibility is rare among lamestream media.

OK, that may have been a little to much but that is what my wife would tell me if I just kept on spending & spending & spending. And when we ran out of money all I have to do is tell her to get a second job!
EB
PS. that IS how I feel.

Anybody got a link?
All I heard last night was that there was a leak of a $3T plan from the super-committee that included an eventual $1T in new "revenue" (taxes). This was on CNN.
The only thing I can find on any of several websites are references to Obama wanting to bypass Congress for his student loan plan:

Yea, I think I will go myself a premier home today. Obama will help me pay for it.

Villagegolfer, you are way to late. I just bought all the home sites on the far side of 466a. Don't have any idea how to pay for them so put in for a few billion stimulus grant, no load, grant. Should hear within a few hours. Ain't Obama great, what a guy, only had to agree to kick back a few hundred thou for the loan, errrr, grant.

djplong Anybody got a link?
This one that includes more than just Fox. That way the anti-Fox poeple can take a breath.
I did not see the stimulus spending part in this link but I am sure I can find that if needed. It was on the Fox report.

I wonder if the Republicans would agree to raising the gas tax to pay for repairing our crumbling roads and bridges. It's been quite a few years since that tax covered what it was supposed to pay for - the rest is now coming from general revenues.
If the GOP can't even agree to THAT - then they are acting as though under a religious dogma. Every article says the GOP members of the cupercommitte will not agree to ANY tax increases of ANY kind.

And the Dems will not agree to any cut in spending except defense so............

Not if you remember what Obama and Boehner almost came out with a few months ago with their proposed Grand Bargain. Remember how there were $3 in cuts for every $1 of tax increases - a better bargain than Reagan EVER got from the Democrats of the 1980s.

If I remember that right the Senate and most of the house Dems were not on board with that at all. As I remember it Obama and Boehner were about the only ones excited about that idea.
Still it might have been a good idea and a good place to start.
