You might try Creative Finish Carpentry. On their website, they have prices for each of the Villages models. There is also a gallery to scan through.

We are thinking about using them for our home....

We used Creative for our crown moulding and they were outstanding! Did the whole house in less than 5 hours (1500 sq ft, with 13 ft high ceilings), including puttying and painting. The owner, Mario, told us that he has done over 600 homes in TV. Must be doing something right.

Another vote for Mario of Creative Finish Carpentry. As stated above they did the whole house in one day and left it as clean as when they arrived. Another good thing is that Mario stands behind his work. When we had questions about a joint showing, he came back quickly and re-cauiked the area. No questions asked, no problem.

I think you should try ( RJ Light Carpentry LLC ) Richard J. Thomas Owner. I am a neighbor of his and he has been doing molding for some of my friends. He has been doing molding and other trim carpentry for 35 years, and he has some great prices. Call him at (352) 561-4529 or (973)715-3363. He is also a Village resident, I think you will be very happy with him.

We have some crown moulding but...I would love to find the price of the kind that goes up into the tray ceilings and I have seen some with an old world design..grooved and fancy and kind of European looking. I bet that costs an arm and a leg...but doesn't hurt to ask if anyone knows anything about that kind.

I saw a picture in a magazine.:ohdear:

Can anyone give me a ball park figure of what it would cost to put moulding throughout our home? I have no idea...hundreds, thousands???

If I'd just kept reading the forum I would have had my own answer! I found the cost. Thanks.......

We used Peter Kavanaugh 750-9814. Did fantastic work. He is not a carpenter, he is a Craftsman! We've used him three times for Crown Moulding our Tray Ceilings in the Bedroom and Living Room, Crown in the rest of our home and Bead Board in our Kitchen. He's a delight to have working in our home, reasonable and has done the same work for many of our neighbors who were equally as happy as we are. Peter and his wife are "very young" Villagers.

Beware of creative finish carpentry--got paint on my counters and floors--do not answer phone--promised to do crown work over doors and did not show up---be careful--Mario talks great but does not back up his work---

Have you considered styrofoam crown molding?
There are many styles and very easy to install. I'm sure you can get a carpenter to do it.

My son installed himself in several rooms and he had outstanding results.

Peter Kavanaugh, 352 750-9814, VERY Good, Highest quality work -- crown moulding, wainscotting, chair rails, etc. Not the cheapest! Well worth the price.

We talked with many of the contractors and believe me, you WILL NOT be unhappy with Creative Finish Carpentry. Great job, fantastic cleanup, and they respond immediately if you happen to need a call-back.

Great work and a great price from Innovative Design, Jerry Lay. Job takes more that a day in order to do it right (my opinion) with installation, caulking the pop corn ceiling, and painting. Call him at 352 342-0860.

Lantana with all rooms except Bathrooms cost $3k. This included the tray ceiling and a second moulding about 2" below the crown moulding.
